Brolly let down
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
A handy and well made product. Howeve the last one failed at a very bad time whilst I was out and a bad downpour. It wouldn't open, less than two months old. To M&Ss’ credit it was replaced with no issue. 7

Another excellent umbrella

No, I don't recommend this
I purchased my previous M&S umbrella about 20 years ago, but it finally started to break, so I decided to replace like for like. Although the handle is now plastic, not wood, I am pleased that the mechanism still seems to be the same. Hopefully it will last another 20 years! Glad to see a company that are still making products to last.

Reliable Umbrella

The umbrella is convenient size to hand carry or in the bottom of a back pack. Ample size when fully open to keep the rain out, strong enough to withstand blowing inside out then returning to function perfectly.

I was fed up of buying cheap and nasty umbrellas, that ended up in the bin after a couple of uses. This is a great purchase. Really well made. Not too heavy. Pretty elegant too.

Easy to open & close, comfortable to hold. Not particuarly windy when used so cannot judge strength of frame. Bought as a lost replacement.

EXCELLENT UMBRELLA

I bought one of these many years ago and finally one of the spokes broke. This is a replacement and I hope it lasts as long as the first one. As I only use a small/medium handbag, this does not fit properly into them. I tend to leave it in the door pocket of my car as it is larger than the one I keep in my handbag. I also prefer this one if I am walking and it is raining, as it provides better cover from the rain.

I bought one of these but my son brollynapped it, so I bought another one that my daughter pinched. So I bought a third one! They really are worth paying for. So far, all still going and all kept their shape.

I bought this umbrella and wiithin five minutes it broke. I swapped it for a new one which lasted a handful times before breaking. It can’t be fixed, it is a total waste of money. Very expensive for something so shoddy.

Good solid umbrella. Nice and big but closes up quite small. Useful hooked handle. Seems to last well ( we have had them before but my husband keeps leaving them places) A pity it is quite heavy but a very good umbrella overall.

Useless
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
I have bought two of these and both collapsed within 20 minutes of using them. There's an elastic part that keeps the brolly open which detaches and can't be fixed. Honestly, I can't believe they're the more expensive brolly!
