Cord Round Neck Midi Waisted Dress

Love the bodice, hate the sleeves. Lovely material, really wanted this to work on me.

Great fit and fabric but ALL dresses and skirts should come with pockets!

The dress arrived looking like a second hand dress. Not a dress for me as I look like a nun.

Positive - Good quality dress , nice fit ( I'm curvy ) quite flattering. Negative - You can't do the zip up by yourself so unless you have someone there to help don't bother buying it - quite annoying really.

Perfect length for me, I am 5’5. Lack of pockets and a bit strange, undefined bust area are minuses from me

I’ve had so many compliments about this dress. Soft fabric with fine needle cord. Lovely nipped in waist. Looks and feels better quality and more expensive than the great price!

This dress is ok but the bust and waist looks a bit awkward on me. Great price but needs pockets.

I have been very disappointed with this dress in comparison with other corduroy offerings from M&S. The fabric is very thin and the zip doesn't seem to cope where there are double layers/ seams meaning I cant wear it if no one around to force the zip up for me. Left it too late to return but wish I had. Heading for a charity bag.... And I wouldn't be bothering to review if you hadn't asked!

I don't usually wear this colour, but fell for the beautiful rich chocolate colour when I walked past a display in the Norwich store. The simplicity of this dress is a winner and I am sure I will wear it a lot. I chose a size 14 - if it had a less fitted waist I would normally go for a 12. I am glad I sized up, but the chest is very billowy and feels a bit full and unflattering. Hence the 4 stars. The fit just seems a bit odd, but would suit a bigger bust.

Fabulous dress, I had lots of compliments when I wore it . The needle cord is really soft. The cut is very flattering.

The dress looks good - I am 5ft 2in - blonde and fair and over 70 - the dress is rather long and tight fitting and some might find this a challenge! Colour and fabric are different to recent buys and I like trying a new style.

The dress is lovely, a great addition to my wardrobe for the change in season. Fitted just below the bust with a flared skirt - flattering design. My only gripe is the zip - it’s so long and very difficult to do up without assistance. Not the dress for you if you have arthritis or live alone!

Bought as a warmer autumn/ winter dress.Cut and fitting are alright.I would rather pay twice the price for better quality. I want clothes that don’t harm the environment because I can wear them for several years. I’m aware of how much labour is expended in manufacturing as I used to make all my own clothes.This feels like a missed opportunity.

A great shape (I bought a 14 as the waist is very precise) The brown corduroy is quite lightweight so not too hot indoors. Looks alot more expensive than it is!
