Stylish and sturdy

Yes, I recommend this
This is a firm top divan base so if you pair it with a sprung mattress it is comfortable. The steel colour is dark grey, almost black and looks very stylish and goes well with most colours of bedding. The fabric too gives it a contemporary, luxury look. Unlike cheaper divan bases this is very well made and sturdy. I have had this for more than three years and it still looks like new.

Classic Padded Non-Storage Divan

No, I don't recommend this
Purchased this mid August as we needed a new base as our main bed as we had bought a Tempur Mattress to go on top of this and that is why we went for a padded instead of sprung base. Its visually good to look at, but not really that comfortable as the padding could have been thicker. We have always had sprung base bed before so maybe it takes time to get used to it but at the moment I am not convinced it was worth the price. Have given average marks apart from style of the base which is very modern and was good. Sorry M&S but not a huge fan of this.
