I washed these expensive socks on a cold wash but they have shrunk and do not fit my feet now. Ive been told by M&S customer services to take them to an M&S branch for 'discussion'.

Lovely and warm and comfortable. Disappointingly, after machine washing at 30C they have shrunk. They stretch again once on my feet, but with each wash it becomes harder to pull them on!

These socks arrived and looked lovely. I’m a size 6 and they only just fitted. I wore them once, they were very cosy, comfortable and just the right height below my trousers. Unfortunately, they did not wash well. I am always very careful washing wool, but despite my careful hand washing they shrunk so badly I couldn’t wear them again I had to return them.

I loved wearing these socks. Stylish and so warm and cosy. Was thinking of getting more. But then washed them per instructions and they shrunk so much I struggled to get them on! So prepare to hand wash or don’t buy. I returned for a refund.

I bought someof these socks for myself and some for presents. They sound like a good quality blend of wool, cashmere and other fibres, with a much higher percentage of wool and cashmere than many other brands, so I am hoping they will be warm and wear well. Time will tell! The dark red is certainly festive.
