Bee Sugar Pot

I bought this as part of a set for my daughter as she wanted a new teapot. Having ordered the Bee teapot I was also tempted by the sugar pot, milk jug and large Bee mugs.

I purchased the matching milk jug in which I gave a 5 out of 5 for as was perfect so had high hopes for the matching sugar bowl. The positives for the bowl were the design and quality are 5 out of 5 but the functionality has let its score down because the hole and lid for me is too small. The smallness of the hole makes it harder than needs be when trying to fill it with sugar so care is needed so sugar doesn’t spill over. Also the lid doesn’t have a notch in it so that a spoon can be rested in the bowl when not been used. This means either having to take the spoon out completely and rest somewhere else or leaving the spoon in the bowl with the lid resting on an angle or leaving the lid off completely so the spoon can stay in the bowl. It’s these little details that makes you feel that thought has gone into the design and is fit for purpose. It may sound trivial but a sugar bowl should be able to hold a sugar spoon without having to balance the lid on an angle. It hasn’t stopped me using it but sometimes I feel designers forget about these little details that make a big difference. So when purchasing have a thought for your little sugar spoon and don’t be put off and take care filling it up with sugar so it doesn’t go everywhere.

Such a lovely little pot, dainty and delicate. Would make a lovely gift

This was bought to complete the set, which is very sweet. I do think that the top could have been more suitable for the purpose of extracting spoonfuls of sugar, but maybe the recipient will use tongs and lump sugar.

Makes my kitchen counter lot nicer to look at. Absolutely love it!

I do like a sugar pot with a lid.....more hygienic and also means the sugar doesn't clump together.....its also a pretty little pot complete with bee
