Bought two packs of these knickers and after wearing a brand new pair for less than a day the crutch swam completely ripped and became unwearable. Very poor quality. Extremely disappointed M and S.

M&S have absolutely changed their sizing, so do check the size chart against your measurements, and believe it. Sizes are just a number not a judgement or badge of honour. If a 14 used to be baggy on you, the 16s in this style will fit. I love the smooth elastic that doesn't cut in like the standard serrated knicker elastic they love to whack on everything. The fabric is soft and smooth although it's very thin and will wear out quickly. If you care about keeping yourself healthy by ensuring your underwear is made of breathable cotton, you will struggle this season because the majority of the cotton underwear is labelled "cotton rich" and has 25-30% polyamide or polyester: very sweaty and bad for you, a yeast infection waiting to happen. At least this viscose blend is fairly breathable. These Brazilian knickers sit a little higher on the hip than I'd expected, so if you like a higher leg or a bit of tummy coverage these should work ok. I'm flat in that area which might be what makes them seem a little high on my shape, if you have fupa to contain I guess they'll sit lower. The gussets are not sewn down at the front, which is a bit uncomfortable, because that bit kind of rolls and bunches up and can rub on the most sensitive area of the human anatomy. I hate that M&S have dropped the quality of their knickers by saving money on the more complicated construction of a gusset that's properly sewn in at both ends. It's deeply uncomfortable to have a flappy gusset. Unfortunately the selection leaves me with no choice. I sew my own gussets down in a janky home fix for a garment that's been constructed on the cheap.
