I’ve been buying these for a few years now and never been disappointed. The colours are always lovely, they are true to size and very nice to wear. Just because you are older and heavier than you were a few years ago does not mean you can’t wear nice underwear.

Ordered my favourite high rise knickers to find they are totally different. Different fabric, strange stretch, different lace, no stretch, different waist band….not my comfortable favourites at all!

Black or Opaline? Same Briefs, Different Fit

I bought the Black version and though they were very good - it prompted me to buy the Opaline. Unfortunately they are completely different in fit. The black briefs have a soft, flat leg edge that sits smoothly against the body and behaves almost like a pair of shorts, with no visible lines under clothing. The Opaline version, however, has a much firmer leg opening that cuts into the flesh and creates a very obvious dent and prominent knicker line. The difference is immediately noticeable and makes them uncomfortable to wear under fitted clothing. The inconsistency between colours (or of course production line) is the real issue here. If the Opaline version had been made the same way as the black version, I would have been very happy to buy more. Now I would be cautious about both - not appreciating quite why there is such a difference in fit

Having trouble finding knickers from M&S that are pretty but comfortable. Every time I find some they are discontinued. These are okay but limited choice in colours. They wash well but still show under trousers.

The reviews were very good online, but I found the size (I bought size 14) a little on the tight side, mainly the waistband. I buy a lot of M&S underwear and usually the size is correct. The material is nice, but I found them a little less comfortable than reported by other buyers.
