Well Done Marks & Spencer for realising we are not all the same size. Whilst you have always catered for the wider youths, not so for taller youths. The school insists shirts are tucked in, you cannot do this if you are 6ft tall and the shirt is only standard. Trouble is it appears once they are gone they are gone, and not readily available throughout the school year.

I have a tall slim boy so buy the longer length school shirts. I bought age 13-14 for my son who is 12.5 years old. They are very large around the neck (as all of the M&S school shirts seem to be), rather too roomy in the body, but not that long (or a smaller size would have fitted better). Not really the right fit for a tall slim child. We need 'slim fit, longer length'. Oh, & look at the neck sizes on school shirts, particularly if described as slim fit. The shirts are polyester heavy, and my son thinks they are 'scratchy'. Cotton would be nicer, but not made in 'longer length'. They are not very well sewn, with a piece of fabric caught in a stitch on the back of the armhole seam on one of the two, which looks awful on.

These shirts are longer than normal but are still not long enough for taller slimmer children. I would still buy these despite this as the larger size are way too wide around the neck
