Best quality and value

Yes, I recommend this
I have been buying these for many years they are comfortable and stay up well and are the only 40 denier that seem to be available. So much nicer and easier than trying to struggle into a pair of tights. My only wish is that they came in a flesh colour as well.

Doesn’t stay up

Don’t stay up and the split by your heal if your shoes rub ever so slightly on your heal

Looked good until they fell down and ripped
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
First wear one fell down. Embarrassing! When I tried to pull it back up it ripped in my hand. It really was too early for bare legs. Perhaps my legs are too skinny :( They looked good and felt nice but the top just ripped off in my hand. I still have 1 pair to use so hopeful that was a faulty pair.

Does the job!

Nice hold ups that stayed in place and did not fall down. Nice smooth finish and seems good quality. I’m 5’4” (163cm) and they reached the very top of my legs. Would possibly be too long for anyone much shorter than that.

Loved the idea of 40 denier stockings as wont ladder and good for the cooler months, read reviews and thought give a go 2 pairs in a pack, one pair stayed up was great the other fell down within an hour of wearing. Disappointing that only one pair any good. The top grip part needs looking at and changing as its faulty and its too much money for this to happen.

Hit and miss

These hold-ups are so hit and miss when you buy them. Sometimes when you first put them on they stay up, others only one leg ok and others can find them round your ankles after about one hour. Surely there is something wrong somewhere with the manufacturing of the tops of these for there to be so many inconsistencies with how they hold up when worn. Such a shame as the denier section is great.

Far too long to be useable

These stockings would be great for a 7ft tall person, unfortunately I am 5ft 3 inches, they aren't useable and were a total waste of money.

I hate wearing tights so hold ups are a better option. However, whilst they're great at first, after being washed, they stop staying up. Not ideal.

These hold ups are great and just what I wanted. I was concerned that being just 40 denier they would not be ‘thick’ enough, but they are. And they hold up perfectly too!

Not as good as they used to be

Don’t know whether M&S have changed supplier, but these hold ups definitely don’t hold up. I have been buying these for years, however recent buys have all been the same, they don’t stay up and roll down shortly after being put on. Something has changed as they aren’t as good as they used to be and aren’t fit for purpose.

These are very hit and miss. M&S don't seem to be able to fix the grippy part, it either rips or rolls. However, they're the only reliably available and affordable option, hence the 3/5
