I bought this in the sale in my normal size 14. I was pleased with the quality of this fully lined wool skirt. But it was too tight and I couldn't fasten the zip so it had to go back. Luckily the skirts were still on sale and I sent for a size 16. Disappointingly it was still tight. The zip did fasten but the waist was then under my bust so this will be going back too.

I looked everywhere for this style of skirt and in the end bought this although the material is rather lumpy. I would have liked this style in a shorter length too as I need petite size, but I do not want mini skirts at my age! I bought a larger size after reading previous reviews.

Ordinary and a bit tight

It's an OK skirt, but nothing special. I took a bigger size and it was still extremely fitted - my bum sticking out and around the belly. It's more like a pencil skirt with a bit more give lower down. Perhaps if lockdown hadn't happened it would have looked better. Couldn't find a jacket that went with it well to dress it up, but ok with long coat. If it had been reduced a bit more I would have kept it for better days - but decided to take back.

Love this skirt, unfortunately the sizing seems way out. All my clothes from Marks are a 10, so I was surprised to find it was too tight, I have ordered the 12, hope that fits when it arrives. I ordered the regular Length being 5’3” it sits between my calf and knee, lovely length for me

Ordered larger size as other reviews suggested which was fine at waist but too big across hips. Interesting material but zip kept catching because there was not enough clearance from bobbly material. otherwise a very good skirt.

This skirt is wrongly size very small unable to ware it. If buying get 2 sizes larger. Will give it to one of the charity shops when they are open. M& S should have better quality control especially at this time, we have been told not to go out.

Bought my usual size but was very small. Ordered the larger size 12 and the fit was perfect except the zip was not running smooth and the front split didn’t hang well. My first disappointment in years.

What a beautiful, classy skirt. Alas, as other reviews confirm, the sizing is totally out of kilter. I did go up a size which buried me on the hips. Re-ordered in my correct size to find there was no way in this earth I could fasten the waist band. What a pity in such a lovely skirt.

I found the material too thick and heavy for everyday wear and the skirt was too straight to be called "A-line"

I bought this in the sale The quality is lovely but it is in my opinion not an A Line style, more of a pencil skirt. There is a split at the front which takes away from the classic style.

Was so pleased when this skirt was reduced in sale as had coveted at full price. But the significant reduction is probably explained by a strange fit and people not fitting their usual size or 1 bigger. Ends up sitting quite high waisted. Will probably keep as it's a nice skirt for £19 but may not work for all

I bought in sale so ok for price. Rather small sizing though and not really A line although length just right for me.

Was really looking forward to this skirt arriving which took 10 days. When I tried it on it was far too small more like a 16 than 18. Sorry to say it will have to go back.

Nice quality skirt

I ordered the 'long' length skirt, which is a bit of a stab in the dark as the actual length measurements are not given. The skirt sits quite high on my waist, so comes to just about knee length on my 5'8" frame. Would be tempted to go up a size so that the skirt would sit lower on the waist and come slightly below the knee....

I thought A line meant flaring from waist line but it was too tight over my lockdown tummy Also as somewhat arthritic hands the pull for the zip is very small & hard to catch hold over plus the design means none of the "Help " appliances will work as they are designed for ring type pulls so sadly returned.
