Ouch!!

No, I don't recommend this
I have had these boots for just over a month &, sadly, I don’t feel I can wear them any longer. My left foot, which is generally my slightly larger foot, is very comfortable & I have no issues with the left boot. However, on the right boot there seems to be something really hard just behind the heel & even though I have tried to carry on wearing them on the assumption they’d soften over time, it actually feels like it gets worse with every wear & I’m practically crippling on the way home from a walk. As other reviews have also mentioned they are very difficult to put on but I was prepared to overlook this had the boots been comfortable.

Good walking boots

These are versatile walking boots and reasonably priced. I wear them for walking around the city or in countryside. I have been wearing a black pair for a year and they have stayed looking good. The only issue is that they come up very small compared to previous M&S walking boots. I am usually 7.5 and purchased in 8. I can only wear to them with the thinnest summer socks. The boots are warm so that is a compromise. l purchased 3 pairs in the brown before I found a pair that I could fit in to without literally crunching my bones. One pair I had to give away. For the next design, I would love to be able to wear cosy winter socks.

Tricky laces

These boots look very nice and fit well once you have got them on but here is the problem they are almost impossible to put on! The top eyelets are not hook ones like regular walking boots but eyelets which you need to thread the lace through. I couldn't get the boots on without unthreading the ankle laces then once on it was so difficult and took ages to thread the lace through the eyelets. Therefore I shall be returning the boots.

These are very nice boots. They come in plenty of sizes in including smaller sizes like mine. The design is very nice & stylish . They fit me perfectly & are very comfy to ware. They will keep me warm & dry especially on a very cold, wet, icy or snowy winters day. They will also compliment whatever else you are waring that day. I would recommend these boots to anyone else looking for a good pair to invest in buying.

Decided to wear the boots in before our walking holiday but after standing in them doing the ironing for about ten minutes had to take them off they were so uncomfortable. The inside of each boot was cutting into my ankles even with thick walking socks so checked it out and felt something very hard on the inside. I can’t believe people are finding these boots comfortable they are very badly made. First time I’ve ever written a bad review for M and S

I’m a great fan of Goodmove but these have to be the absolute worst walking boots I have ever had the misfortune to wear. There’s a hard shell (insufficiently padded) in the heel of the boot which extends around the ankle. It rubbed the skin under both my ankle bones raw, causing them to both bleed. Thick walking socks were not an option as the boots are not generously sized to cater for thick socks (bizarre). They are extremely awkward to put on and take off as they have to be unlaced so far down - fiddly and time consuming. Finally, when walking I felt my foot being pushed forward in the boot (uncomfortable). Sorry, I hate leaving bad reviews but in this case felt I had no alternative.

These beautiful trainers are SUPERBLY comfortable and look really smart with jeans or trousers. I wore them every day for the 10 days whilst walking for many miles whilst on holiday in Japan. I highly recommend them for anyone with sensitive feet who want to embrace their toes in comfort!

Not great boots

Very poor fit. Look lovely but there’s a hard support round the heel. Rubbed badly on first wear causing blisters and soreness. Unable to wear again. Will return. Poor quality M&S

A good lightweight walking boot. Bought to take on holiday and didn’t want to take my winter walking boots as too heavy. These were perfect and comfortable.

Tan walking boot

I had an excellent pair of walking boots from goodmove a couple of years ago, and needed a new pair so got the tan ones. They are extremely comfortable from first wear, colour is much nicer than on the pictures (more tan than orange). Definitely waterproof too, and quite a sleek compact front to them so they don’t look too bulky. I have marked them down to 4 stars as they don’t have tabs at the back (which can be helpful to pull on and off) and my last pair had clips on the top 2 eyelets for the laces, but this pair you have to actually lace through the top 2 metal eyelets which is more fiddly. I am hoping they will wear just as well as my last pair!

They are not really waterproof. In long grass water comes in through the top of the foot.

Great boots. Very comfortable and waterproof apparently so should be good for dog walking. Slightly hard to get on and off hence why I only rated 4 stars

I was disappointed with these boots, only worn a few times and started leaking. Really liked them though maybe a fault. Returned them to store received refund very quickly. Great customer service.

Not waterproof

Very comfortable boots however have not found them waterproof, there is also no information on the ticketing indicating if they should be treated in some way before wearing, so puzzled as what is the definition of waterproof
