Slim Fit Velvet Jacket

Really nice jacket good fit and love the feel of the fabric, looked pretty good wearing it in bc a sea of black. Not too much colour just right.

This is a nice slim fitted jacket but if you have broad shoulders there is quite a bit of excess fabric at the back. Also the pleats at the back there is some stitching to hold them together, this was very difficult to remove it all and you need to because white thread shows up.

Maternal: yet to be worn but better than any others I've seen. Fit: I'm a 41 chest, 33 waist , so usually have a 42 slim fit wherever I go. The jacket fits well - EXCEPT - not really visible in the pictures, the back panel - between the side vents - has way too much material in it. It sticks out at the bottom like a platypuss tail. Thinking it may be a one off, we traveled 18 miles to a store, wanting to try others on. Unfortunately, none were stocked. I've just left it with a seamstress to alter it. She's pointed out that the rear is slightly higher than the front, and there's a slight excess just below the collar. As a result I'd never buy online from M&S again.

Despite measuring before ordering, this was too small, too short and sleeves too short.

Love the way the blazer looks and the material but the fit is just way too tight even for a slim fit. Im 6' and slim build, usually buy 38" blazers in a slim option. This item pinches around the armpits, and is difficult to button up. It just looks and feels small rather than slim fitting. I would recommend sizing up.

Quality item (as per normal with m n s). Well tailored and a really good fit. Classy colour, would definitely buy more in other colours, i.e. green, blue, brown purple etc, although dusky colours like the pink so they aren't chavvy. Works well as a formal tux with dress trousers and shirt, but equally as well with t shirt and jeans. Super versatile, well done again m n s.
