Smart but not too smart

This is a good quality smart shirt .. I bought it for a job interview and I got the job so something was right! It’s a nice cut and bridges the gap between formal and casual. It was a great price for such a well made cotton shirt.

For once a shirt made out of substantial material. Thankfully can’t see through it. The material is comfortable to wear. Shirt is well made. Can wear for a smart occasion or for office wear.

sizing?

What is going on with M&S sizing? This shirt style specifically.... I am 40" chest, 32" waist, regular length....Medium, my first purchase, was enormous, hanging off shoulders and sleeve length beyond my fingertips. So I returned product and purchased Short.... Fits on shoulders, sleeve length fine but too tight around chest. I will keep as a casual open shirt, but would have liked to button it up and wear also with my suit.

Smart, Comfortable & Perfect for Work

The Pure Cotton Ultimate Oxford Shirt in black is exactly what I needed for work. The quality of the cotton is excellent—soft, breathable, and comfortable enough to wear all day without feeling restricted. It has a smart, polished look that holds up well throughout the day, even after long hours. The fit is spot on and true to size, giving a clean, professional appearance without being too tight or too loose. It also washes well and keeps its shape, which is a big plus for regular workwear. Overall, a reliable, stylish shirt that’s perfect for a professional setting. I’ll definitely be buying more!

Nice shirt - size up to take account of stomach.

Nice shirt, but if you have a bit of a tummy, go one size up! My father bought this shirt in blue for him to wear at his sister's 90th birthday do. He bought the size of shirt that was appropriate for his chest, but it doesn't take account of the fact that if you have a bigger tummy, the chest measurement is irrelevant. My suggestion would be to go up one size if your stomach isn't like a washboard. The shirt itself is very nice, well made and a quality material.

Despite arriving all scrunched up and looking like it had been returned from someone else’s online shop, the shirt is excellent quality, thick and strong material and lovely colour. Needs ironing!

A perfect fit for my frame however I worry about the first wash shrinking the shirt. I am sure that M&S has thought of this. I like the style and colours the shirt are available in. I will buy a lot of them if they do not shrink as it is such a good fit

Good quality product, comfortable, room enough for slightly bigger waist medium size guy, a little long in arms but looks great on with some armbands. Collar sits nice. Works with or without a tie / open neck.

I was look for these colours (light peach and cream colours) for a long time. Best oxford classic shirts at the best price. I bought one peach, three cream and one navy to treat myself this season.

I bought these as casual shirts to wear every day, they fitted really well and the quality was excellent. It is too early to tell whether they will stand the test of time but so far so good.
