skirt

The skirt looked ideal for me - but it didn't hang at all, looked a bit as if it would stand up on its own. Cut was good for someone with my wide hips. Keep trying!

I only gave it 4 stars as it was far too long! I usually order a regular length from M and S and it’s usually a reasonable length. The frayed hem wasn’t to my liking. This is probably an age thing! The younger generation probably prefer this look! Despite these comments for someone who is slightly pair shaped the style is great. I’m 5’6 inches. I had it shortened with a proper hem. If I hadn’t have done this it was far too long. Nice denim material. I am size 14 to 16. I kept the size 16 as it fitted my waistline better.

I really like this skirt. At 5ft 10 I found the regular length long enough for me!

Love this skirt, it's not too wide and looks great with trainers or boots. It is long, at 5ft7 I vary between long and regular lengths and the regular length is almost to my ankles which is what I wanted.

Love this skirt, just what I was after but at 5’11” the long was literally to the floor so kept the regular length. Great quality and value for money

Really lovely feel to this skirt as the denim is soft but good quality. I am 5’6ins and it is a perfect maxi length. Fit is spot on too. I am tempted to get the lighter colour too!

This skirt is really quite long. I'm 5ft 5 and I had to purchase the 6 petite. I've never bought petite in my life, as at my average height I do consider myself regular. The 6R trailed on the ground and I would have had to wear a very high pair of shoes. The 6P is perfect...for me...I am wondering how someone who's 5ft 2, say, will get on! But, fabulous skirt. Just be aware that it's rather long.

Very happy with this denim maxi which I bought in the light blue combo. The skirt fitted well in petite length (I'm 5' 3"). I tried it on and felt immediately comfortable in it. It is a fairly thin denim so it falls well. I can see me wearing this on many different occasions. It looks good with suede boots and knits. Definitely a smart casual winner.

Disappointed with stitching

I really like the skirt and the unfinished seams are not a problem, however the quality of the overstitching is poor in places, with threads caught up and bunched knots. As this is orange thread, it is very noticeable and looks bad. There needs to be better quality checking before an item goes on sale

Love this skirt so much! Can dress it up or down. Wish it was available in black as well, and when I say black I mean black and not grey denim!

Nice but Disappointing
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
A little on the expensive side, this skirt is lovely but disappointing. Regular which is my normal length is very long so I went for short which was ok. On first wear I noticed that the skirt has 'seated' quite a lot so maybe need to wear with a slip. Also the hem continues to fray but not really a problem as it's part of the look. I still like the skirt sufficiently so will keep.
