The skirt is made from a heavy gauge material that means it has weight and a quality. It hangs really well and sways when you move. I brought the size 6 and it fits well. The colour is just what I wanted and I do like the satin panel as it makes it different. I am delighted with it

This kilt defied all expectations. From the photograph I had thought it would be black and grey, and a heavyish weight. When it arrived I was initially disappointed because it's solid black, there is quite a lot of satin and less wool than I expected - and I doubted that the pleats would hold up to sitting. I almost sent it back immediately but decided to try it on and - WOW ! It's fabulously chic and very elegant and hangs like a dream. Really flattering and beautifully long - 35 inches, so great for we taller people. And whatever Jaeger did to the pleats, they bore up well to a long evening squashed on a soft sofa. It's easy to accessorise in different ways, and frankly, has been the star of the party season. Great quality, too. Well done.

I love this skirt so much I have now bought it in both the black and bitter chocolate. Super quality fabric with a good weight so hangs well. The satin panel adds a little bit of extra interest and style. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful skirt love the side panel that is a type of satin. Able to use my tuxedo jacket from a trouser suit to wear with this. Can be used for casual with a jumper or dressed up with a silk shirt and the jacket. Quality first class.

I'm 75 and a size 10. That doesn't mean it is an older person's item because I like to keep up to date. It is such a versatile style it could be worn by any age group. Great colour and fits true to size. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that there is a panel of satin down one side and I would prefer if it was all made in one fabric.

I bought this skirt because after being glued to Celebrity Traitors I had serious Winkleman Wardrobe envy…. Having done my research I was shocked at the price of a proper kilt and was very happy to find this alternative at a fraction of the price, but still great quality. I am particularly taken with the satin panel as this gives it its own little twist without relegating it to going out wear only. Also, I haven’t been tempted to clothes shop in M&S for years, so, I am happy to be back.

Love the skirt, too expensive to wear everyday for me but, will be great for when I want to feel good. Being 5'4" it is very long, ankle length on me. Waist is adjustable, a bonus.

This is a lovely skirt. It’s made up of two different materials in a brown almost burgundy colour. It’s quite long and I’m 5’2” but nice with burgundy ankle boots. Love it.
