New Bedroom Wardrobes

Yes, I recommend this

Purchased two & we love the look & feel of them! The pictures don't do them justice online! The only gripe is they took ages to get square with doors fitting correctly! Had to buy felt pads to aline! The instal was top notch service however the design could be made more stiff with a back brace. Smell fine just new!

Lovely wardrobes, excellent quality. The only downside we had to wait 24 hours after delivery to have them assembled.

It stinks!

No, I don't recommend this

A really nice solid wardrobe, but I’ve never had a piece of furniture off gas so much. It reeks! The whole house smells of solvent, and no amount of ventilation seems to fix it. This really shouldn’t be acceptable, and I’m concerned it’s a health risk

Good value mid-price wardrobe

Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)

This is a good sized wardrobe, and physically sturdy. They arrived as scheduled (about 2 weeks after ordering) and the team were very efficient in putting the together (we have two). The doors have magnets for closing and these are marginally out of alignment so some doors are easier than others to open, but overall it works well. They look good, but are not luxurious (better door mechanisms and drawer runners, plus a rail in the third section would enhance them). Overall though, the storage is good and external finish fine. They look nice. Good value too, as we chose these over another store's similar model which was almost twice the price. We're more than happy with them.

Bought this wardrobe but had to wait about 6 weeks for a delivery slot. However it came on the said date, 2 very helpful men complete with shoe coverings delivered, unpacked and assembled within 50 minutes. All packaging taken away. Brilliant service. Wardrobe itself, perfect, well made, more than happy with it.

Very poor customer care!

Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)

Good design in a medium price range bracket. We ordered two of these triple wardrobes. One of the wardrobes was assembled perfectly but sadly the second was damaged when being pushed into place, having been initially wrongly assembled. The poor person putting it together had put the sides on the wrong way and was then “ working against the clock”. We accepted a partial refund because of this but now wish we hadn’t as the bedside tables we subsequently had delivered, have mis-matched oak tops and to say they look odd, is an understatement! I don’t mean colour mis-matched, I mean the grain of one bedside table running left to right, whilst the other runs north to south. M&S are suggesting this is normal. I have suggested they put a disclaimer on their Padstow range, advising prospective purchasers not to expect matching pieces!!
