Versatile shorts: I’m wearing them around the house in the warm weather and for casual dining outside. They’re smart enough to look ‘respectable’ yet sufficiently roomy to be comfortable. The half elasticated waistband (not mentioned in the product details) is such a useful feature - who hasn’t ended a holiday a little less trim than when you started? Having the belt loops is great too - means you can dress them up a little if needed.

These shorts fit true to size and are value for money. Would have preferred them in the long length. My husband has 2 pairs of M&S below knee shorts that he has had for several years, but are now rather worn.Cannot find any loose fit below knee shorts anywhere. Other long length shorts are regular or slim fit, not suitable for holidays in hot countries with visits to religious sites. Please M&S, bring back below knee shorts in a loose fit.

They are quite thin and see - through in places. They crease easily like most linen items. Very comfortable and cool , lightweight fabric . Good length. Useful .
