Sharp bootleg cut rather than trendy wide leg, these came up a little large and over the day got looser so buy them snug. Smart true black wash they can be dressed up

I hesitated to buy wide legs as I’m 5 ft 5, size 18 and in my late 50’s but I took the plunge and bought both the black and indigo pairs. They are so comfortable and on trend. Look good with a polo neck, chunky trainers or chunky boots.

These are very good, but there is one serious thing wrong, as with the other pair of M&S jeans I bought recently. The pockets are so tiny that a normal sized phone will not fit in them, nor indeed will anything else. I really mind this, which is obviously done to save money on fabric. M&S, please do something to address this with your suppliers - usually buy 1, 2 or 3 pairs a season, and this is a real problem for me, and I am sure others. This started happening last year, but I could still just manage. No longer!

Normally a size 12 on the bottom, ordered a 12L in the Indigo and they fit great length wise (I’m 5ft 8) but they are a little too big on the waist/hips. Washed well but again, they still remain too loose on the waist/hips so may be worth going down a size.

I've a number of jeans in this style but I couldn't even fasten these. I'm a size 12 and have actually lost weight recently. Very poor quality control and inconsistent sizing. Will now have to make another trip to return these. Very disappointed

They are not the right fit for my shape. I found them to be a bit long in the crotch and the pockets sit too low which made my hips look wider. I returned them.

Bought blue pair last month. Perfect fit and length and lovely on with an abundance of material so they pooled at your feet. As Dirty Harry would say, they are real stylish! Blue pair would get 5 stars. Bought black ones last week and what a disappointment. Meant to be the same jeans just in different colour - anything but. Smaller fit all over, they’ve been purposely frayed at the hem, unlike blue ones, but the most annoying aspect was they were 4 cm shorter than blue ones but both meant to be 12 Regular. The shorter length completely changed the look. Tried second pair in case first was from bad batch but no - both pairs subsequently returned. The Long length was unavailable. M&S sizing is completely unreliable from one garment to the next. Must put a lot of people off buying from you if they don’t live near a store. Luckily I do so 1 star is for the ease of return.

Great jeans BuT length for regular fit far too long - had to reorder short (at 5”6!!) Loved in the blue wash so got in the black. About an inch too short but okay for flats. Great fit. Fab style.
