Cotton Rich Trench Coat

I've been looking for a classic cut trench coat like this for years and finally came across this one. I bought the size 8 petite and it fit me perfectly (I'm 5'6"). The hem falls an inch below my knee and it's just what I wanted. This trench coat also has proper shoulder seams so it frames my shoulders very nicely. The sleeves are the right length at my wrist and they're not baggy like some other trench coats. I didn't like the texture of the polyester lining, but a trench coat that fits me so well is such a rare find so I put up with it. I did try the other 100% cotton M&S trench coat, but that one was too big and the sleeves were too baggy for me even after I sized down to size 6 which was the smallest size they offer, so I didn't buy that one.

Great trench, so versatile and love this colour way. I have it in stone and black too! I am a size 10 and 5’4” the petite was a perfect length.

I bought this as I needed a new raincoat and I wanted something well made and stylish. This definitely fitted the bill.

Read reviews before purchase. I needed a light coat for travel on public transport and in a hurry. Good heft to fabric and it fits perfectly (I sized up to accommodate clothes!). I am petite height so it comes below the knee but that's what I prefer. Given the price point I am expecting this to be a long standing addition to a capsule wardrobe.

My daughter loved it even although she started with trying a size12 but third time lucky got an 8.

Was looking for a good quality cotton trench coat. I don’t like the polyester fabric. This M&S trench coat definitely meets my expectations. I bought it in the dark khaki colour — looks great for me. The fit is great too. I got it in the petite option so that it falls properly on my knee because I didn’t want a long one. The only thing is if the internal lining was cotton that would have been perfect for me. I know that there’s an expensive one which may have inner cotton lining but I didn’t buy that. The one I got is good for me.

Loved it straight away, good quality and the colour is stunning. Makes me feel special when I wear it.

Lovely colour and suits all outfits. Would have liked it to be a slightly shorter length (I’m a petite height) nevertheless, a lovely spring/ summer coat that can keep you warm in changeable weather.
