Pure Cotton Cargo Shorts

Recently bought these as I am a big fan of a cargo short. I do wish there were the same length as M&S's chino short and they had stretch.

These are a nice quality as you expect from M&S, however, after so enjoying a very similar looking pair I purchased from M&S beginning of last season (which I've worn so often and are so comfortable), I am very disappointed the sizing on this season's cargo shorts are so different from last and previous years. I haven't changed my waist line size or weight for several years but whereas my favourite shorts, mentioned above, are a generous size 36 waist, these new ones are much smaller, infact even after changing the 2 pairs (green and dark blue) I bought recently for larger 38 waist, they aren't even as loose fitting and comfortable as my old shorts. I kept one pair as I needed to use them on holiday which aren't comfortable, but would have liked to try the 40" waist before - though I would expect them to be too big and a poor fit. Very disappointing, particularly as you can't try the various sizes on in store due to the rules in place because of Covid 19. Being told it will be, 'due to different manufacturers and suppliers..' doesn't appease the frustration or repay the time waisted, I would expect M&S to care for their loyal customer's experience more and have better Quality and sizing checks before releasing clothing products to the shop floor. One size from M&S should always be reliably the same

I’ve been wearing these particular cargo shorts for a few years now & although the material has slightly changed over the last few years these shorts are still great value for money , a good fit & are still fashionable.... the only small gripe I have is although the colours are advertised as the same they are slightly different & I prefer the old colours which were more washed out & faded .... but they are still a great purchase for anyone looking for these type of shorts .

I bought these for my husband who really suffers in hot weather. They looked good and fitted well at the waist, but were cut very narrow around the leg so they clung to his legs when he sat down. Not good for keeping cool in! I have returned them.

These shorts are very well made using good quality fabric. The pockets are large and have sturdy button fastenings. These shorts look quite smart yet casual enough for my husband to wear on our long coastal walks. I was so impressed with them that I ordered him another pair in a different colour!

In the Olive colour, almost a khaki green. Nice and comfortable, and no bio-degradable micro-plastics to wash down the drain when you clean them (except for the washing instruction tags which are annoyingly synthetic - why?!). Good summer relaxing shorts, with room to carry a few bits and bobs too.
