Sparkly eye make-up isn’t just for teens: embrace the grown-up glitter trend with these easy quads

Glitter is everywhere: models’ eyes twinkled at the spring/summer runway shows and celebrities such as Kate Bosworth and Emma Stone shimmered their way down the red carpet with stars on their eyes recently. You may be thinking, ‘But I’m not a model, a celeb, or a glitter-obsessed teenager, so I can’t pull it off, right?’ Wrong. These vibrant Pixi Glitter-y Eye Quads, €18, are surprisingly easy, not to mention suitable for grown-ups. I tried the silver colour from the Goldlava quad as an eyeliner, with very little other make-up; dewy skin and a sheer glossy lip kept the sparkles looking fresh and surprisingly casual. I also tried sweeping the purple shade from the Rosebronze quad over my smoky eye look at the weekend to liven up my lids, and it worked. I can safely say, with a glint in my eye, that the era of grown-up glitter has arrived.
