Stylish, quality skirt

Very pleased with the weight of the fabric this skirt is made from, as well as colour and classic style. As I am only 5' 1" tall, I expected the skirt to be long on me, and have yet to take it up due to pressure of time, and the fact that I shall have to work around the placing of buttons and buttonholes when deciding on the length that will work best for me. Otherwise, very pleased with something finally of good quality from M&S!

I bought this skirt, size 12, in navy blue. I am thrilled with it - good fit, good quality and good to wear with an M&S blue and white stripe T-shirt.

I loved this skirt, very good quality and lovely colour, but and unfortunately a very big but, this skirt is made for women who are 6 ft.tall, it came down to my ankles. Far too long for me and I fear too long for most of the population. I am very upset that M&S do not cater for petite short lengths anymore. Gutted that this skirt and any other skirts in M&S will not fit me. I have been shopping at M&S for years and love the fact that I can purchase clothes with shorter lengths. I will have to find another shop that does cater for the shorter person now. I really do not understand why the management has decided to stop petite sizes,. Most of the population are 5ft 6ins and this skirt would be too long for them. GUTTED.

Stylish but not my style :-(

I liked the look of this skirt when ordering. I did read the reviews ( always do) The pink one I ordered is bright pink, but that did not put me off. It did not fit my size 18 figure, which I confess is lumpy in parts! I wear other M and S size 18 garments in comfort but this style did not suit. I think it would look good on a slimmer model but sadly it is a return for me.

Nice colour and style, but for a size 10 far too big, and I hadn't shrunk that much. Pitty

I agree with other reviewers that this is a well fitting flattering skirt. It can be worn with or without the belt, the high waistband, and cut with the right amount of flare this skirt is very forgiving of most figures. It is possibly somewhat too long for me though still a midi, and I shall resist the urge to shorten as the stitched hem is of a balanced width and the bottom button at the right height to leave a vent. The cotton fabric is of nice weight, it does not crease a lot, but has not been washed yet. I bought the dark navy - a favourite colour, and would consider the black. The buttons are attractive, all in all this skirt looks more expensive than it is.

This skirt is a very well constructed piece of clothing. The fabric is natural cotton so top marks for that,. I hate man made materials and do not buy items made from them. The cut is flattering and can be dressed up or down with any kind of footwear. I liked it so much I have two in different colours. It would be great in tartan check, or corded velvet in winter. A wardrobe staple.

This skirt has a lot of detail, the waist is very high but still comfortable. The shape is good and the fabric makes the skirt keep its shape. The belt detail makes the skirt look more expensive than it is.

So pleased I bought this skirt (actually have bought 3 different colours). Good quality cotton - still looks good after wearing all day. Particularly like the fact that it has an actual elastic free waist band. Can we please have more skirts like this - no elasticated waist, good quality material

I bought this in navy and was so pleased with it I also bought the beige one. It is a good weight and will be useful from spring right through to autumn. It is slightly high waisted but that doesn’t bother me. The skirt hangs well and has a bit of give so doesn’t strain on the buttons. Would highly r3commend if you want a wardrobe staple.

I tried this on in-store. It fitted really nicely. I've struggled with skirts as I don't have a flat belly, but have narrow hips so many just look unflattering. This was great so I bought it! Will wear all seasons - very flexible. Nice poplin cotton too.Good 70s look.

This skirt is a good colour and fit. Soft enough to enable me to pull the belt tighter on the waist to get a good fit. Smart casual skirt and makes a change from denim.

I was hoping that this skirt would be a summer favourite that I would wear year after year. When it arrived I tried it on and the material is VERY thick, not summery at all. The waist fitted perfectly but the hips were a bit big and by the time the skirt was on my lower hip it was massive and hung in an unflattering way because of the thickness of the material. I have returned it.
