I bought this a few weeks ago and loved it so much that I've just bought two more as I don't want to be without.

Came up on the small size

I usually buy these chemise style nighties from Marks and Spencer’s in size 14. I did read the reviews about this nightie and many said that it came up on the small size. However, I went ahead and bought my normal size but found that it was too tight around the straps and across the back. Unfortunately, I had to send it back - shame because it is very pretty.

Feels nice - clingy material

Pros - Soft, stretchy material - Comfortable to wear - Washes well and dries quickly Minor cons - Smaller in size after wash, but returns to normal size after a night's sleep. - I'm 5"4 and it rests about 4cm above my knee. I was hoping it would finish on my knee as I find that more practical for movement. - Straps aren't adjustable. At the moment they don't need adjusting, but if the material loosens over time, I imagine they'll be falling down. - Clingy material, so I went up two sizes. I tried my usual size (12), but its fit was like a bodycon dress. Two sizes up and it had a tapered fit, which is more flattering and confortable.

Great value chemise. The print makes it a bit more fun but isn’t overpowering. As others have mentioned, the little ruffle isn’t really needed but doesn’t disturb either. Comfy and fits well; true to size.

Just what I was looking for - soft, stretchy and comfy. I like the print - it's called animal print but it's not particularly animal-like! The hem has a small frill which I hadn't noticed in the online picture, and for me the length is just right. Good value, good fit and washes well.

This is just the right length for my 5ft height, comfortable material but came up a bit small, ordered size 10 but is quite clingy so have ordered another in size 12.

Stinks of chemicals even after washing

Fits well but I still can’t wear due to strong chemical smell it gives off. I will try washing for 2nd time if still smells I will return it. On the plus side it fits and feels really nice so hope wash works!

Lovely soft material and so pretty. As a rule, sleepwear is dull and frumpy, this is a lovely item in a breathable comfortable material. Normally the prettier nightwear is made of dreadful satin/polyester or silk which isn't affordable for most of us so this is a most welcome addition to the sleep range by M&S. I am a size 10/12, I chose size 12 and it's a perfect fir. It washes and tumble dries well. Good value for money. Hopefully more designs will be made available in the future.

Bought this in two patterns. Material felt different in each one. Blue nightdress was quite small for a size 12 but pink one was tiny. Straps don't extend so both were returned

Good fit and soft fabric - could be a little longer and doesn’t really need the hem frill

I am a mature, under 5' curvy lady. Been after a nice "nightie" for a while, but often the straps are too long, and/or the length too long, or I look like a sack of spuds. One of my current M&S nighties, I often wake up with a boob hanging out! This ticks most of the boxes. The length sits just below my knees and the straps are the right length to prevent "fall out." For info, I am usually an M&S size 12, but found the 12 a bit snug for wearing in bed, so changed it for a 14 so it was a bit looser. My only minor negative is I'm not keen on the print (this or the floral print,) would have preferred plain or a maybe a different, more subtle print, but overall, very happy with this.
