7pk Antibacterial Pure Cotton Handkerchiefs with Sanitized Finish®

I bought 7 white handkerchiefs which were of much higher quality so disappointed with the quality of these coloured ones

I bought these 4-5 years ago for my husband. He really liked them and they lasted a long time. I decided to order him another set for his birthday. When they came, the degrading of quality was astounding. The handkerchiefs were so thin you could see right through them. The ones we have had for 4 years and washed many times were thicker than the brand new ones. I wouldn't ever purchase these again. I am so sad that "shrinkflation" is so seriously evident here.

I opted for these more expensive N&S hankies expecting usual M&S quality, but apart from the packaging, these are rubbish! So thin you can read a car numberplate through them at 25 yards! 2mm (max) edging hem. Plain, non-patterned thin material, apparently “treated”, but renders it impossible to get creases out. Shockingly poor VFM. If these last more than a week and still look like handkerchiefs I’ll be very surprised.

These are very affordable and a good size, though the thread count seems low and they are very lightweight. Wash well, but they need a gentle 40 degree wash and can’t be put in tumble dryer. So technically a bit 20th century for cotton. I had no need of special antibacterial treatment, which may be why washing and drying somewhat unusual.

Good quality cotton handkerchiefs. Good price for seven handkerchiefs. I would have preferred darker colours or at least more varied than mainly blue. The problem with light colours is they lose their brightness after a few washes and almost look grey.

Feels like cheap cotton. No quality there. Shame because I used to like M&S hankerchiefs. Not any more.
