Very satisfactory for every day use. Bowls slightly smaller than expected but acceptable.

I bought this set because I prefer the smaller dinner plates (just for me) as my dinner plates are very large which are great when entertaining. Unfortunately I had not realised how different the colour would be even though they are white. My original set was from M&S and are Fine Bone China this Maxim is just Bone China. On their own they look white but against the set I already have they look grey. However I cannot fault them in what they are and would be very suitable for a new home owner to start them off. Now I am still looking for a fine bone china set!

These maxim dishes look beautiful…. but they chip very very easily. The quality of the newer maxim range is very poor compared to the ones I have left from a set I bought years ago. I read other reviews stating this but didn’t believe it until I experienced it for myself!

good every day set and spare can be brought, I only gave 4 stars as 2 of the dinner plates need to be replace a the edge was not glazed. they were replace with no problem.
