Velvet Straight Leg Trousers

Beautiful trousers, bought for my mum who loves them. Very stylish and love the way they have designed the waistband so that the elastication is at the back and the front band sits flat on the waist. Side pockets very useful too. Good value for money too. Can be dressed up or down, look lovely and smart but casual as well depending what you wear with them. Wash beautifully with no ironing.

had to go down a size.Thin poor quality material.Threw away previous M&S velvet trousers after having them for about12 years but always washed up well.time to replace them. Doubt theses will wash well.Bought size 10 short (27 inches) but were actually 29inches! Now out if stock so will have to take them up.Wish id kept the old ones!

I;m usually a size 12/14, I bought a size 12 short and the length was perfect, the fit around the waist is also good but the pockets on the side completely ruined them and makes you look like you got hips the size of an elephant, but because I really wanted a pair of velvet trousers I decided to keep them. I sewed up the pockets and had to sew the elastic in the waistband as it keeps moving. With a long top on they look lovely. I'm glad they do them in straight leg because not everyone can wear skinny or baggy

Quite pleased with these trousers although would have preferred them without pockets . Other than that they are really comfortable, had to go down a size as were big but will be perfect for the Christmas season with different sparkly tops .

Not visible from the picture, but these are not really trousers, there is no structure to them, they are, badly cut loose leggings and are horrible. Nasty fabric, poor cut.

Value for money these velvet trousers are the best around. I went up a size because they were straight legged, but the fit was really good. Can't wait to wear them on Christmas Day with my new M & S cashmere sweater.

Great value for money ordered normal size but needed to go down a size for fit.

The title says it all - bought for my mother who rejected them on sight as being frumpy (she’s 81). Last year M&S had lovely velvet trousers - same price, elasticated all the way round, great material. Why did you change what was great?? These look cheap and nasty.

Loved them and would have ordered more however the short leg is for a much taller small person than me. Please Marks and Spencer sort out the short length of trousers as it is very disappointing and is driving me mad with the waste of time in ordering and having to send back not to mention it is costing you money in postage.

Good shape overall, and two useful pockets. The fabric and finish are good, not too thick and the stretch makes them comfortable, as the back is elasticated, however, did not suit my shape. If you have a fuller derriere, these would be great, but I have got a flattish bottom, so there was too much fullness for me. Shame as in other ways they were great, including easy to wash and dry.

Beauty quality but longer than a normal short which is annoying. Usually I can buy short trousers which require no alteration. However these trousers were definitely longer than a normal short. Disappointing in that respect.

Nice fitting velour trousers and good to have a straight leg rather than a wide leg style. Maybe smoother fitting style for evening wear if the trousers didn't have pockets ?

Trying to find velvet pants to wear with an Indigo black and gold jacket bought last year. Not these, too old for me.
