Picture does not fit the result. Colour different
No, I don't recommend this
I bought over the weekend - when I picked the skirt up and when opened at home realised the colour does not match the picture, I am always a size 14 with Marks and Spencer, especially with Autograph but not now...it was at least 4 inches off too tight from the Zip up, below that it was loose. Very, Very disappointed. Returned this morning...sadly. Not the first skirt I have had to return due to size.

I had been looking at this skirt for quite some time but when it was in the sale I jumped at the chance. Beautiful buttery soft suede in a light tan colour. This will last for years. Will be wearing all autumn, winter & spring with long boots.

I returned this item as the colour was much paler than in the online picture suggested. Also I found it baggy, partly because of having side pockets. It was not a good fit.

beautiful but very big

this skirt is beautifully made and great value for a truly good quality suede skirt. Sadly it comes up very large on the hips and for in an A-line cut drown me. I am a M and S size 6, so can't go any smaller. It fitted perfectly on the waist but I had more than an inch to spare on the hips. Disappointing...

...I agree with some of the negative comments about shape and size. It's BIG. I'm 5'4" tall and a standard size 12, smaller in M&S. Only 8 was available in a smaller size, so I ordered, with little hope that it would fit. The waist was a bit of a struggle, but fine everywhere else. Still roomy on hips, length great with heels. I'm not a fan of A-line, especially in leather, it can add inches and as one reviewer said 'look frumpy' I suggest downsizing to achieve some semblance of shape. Soft suede, a lighter colour than depicted, and maybe a keeper....But, if you are a genuine small size this skirt will swamp you.

Disappointing A-Line

The skirt fitted on waist quite well but there is such an excess of suede material at the hips and thighs. A-Line, it was bell shaped most unflattering which is why I returned it Quality of suede was beautiful but let down by cut and fit.

Suede is very soft and of good quality. The shape A line was generous on the hips for me and therefore not a flattering look or fit. The colour is darker than shown in the picture but otherwise good value for money.

I loved the skirt. Lovely design and the pockets did not bulge when worn so it maintained its sleek look. Unfortunately it just did nothing for me - it might have been the length being a bit long so it looked rather frumpy on me. I very sadly had to return it, but it was beautifully made and was the sort of skirt you would keep forever so if you get an opportunity to buy one (I think most of them have gone by now), I'd snap it up. Its style will just not suit everyone's body shape but worth a try.

This is a lovely skirt. I ordered it in my usual M&S size but it was far too big so I returned it

I am thrilled with this skirt, it is expensive but very good quality and reminds me of M&S standards of old! I'm sure it will be worn for many years to come.

This skirt was made from beautifull soft suede that I would not fault. The main problem for me returning it is the shape, it is so unflattering and too long. I am a size 12 and 5'6" and it did nothing for me at all.

Although I have given this skirt 5 stars for fit that is after I have one that fits. I am normally a size 12 but it was too big and reordered in a 10 that was perfect. When was I last a10 - don't ask!!! The colour of the skirt is not the bright goldy colour in the picture - it is more of a muted sand. This pleased me more as it looks great with lots of colours and patterns. I am 5ft 2 and it is a midi on me but hangs well and looks great with thick tights or boots. The pockets are great and don't bulge. The suede is butter soft. For the price a fantastic buy. Well done M&S.

Just picked up skirt today. It is wow. Excellent cut, and colour. Suede is beautiful and thick. This skirt looks designer. I was disappointed to find a green plastic sticker stuck to the back of the skirt and when I have peeled it off it has left mark which is noticeable. I don’t know whether to replace or keep this one as I don’t think the cut and size would be the same. I have tried to clean it and will wait and see if the mark disappears. I know suede has characteristics anyway so I might get away with it. Definitely a investment piece and looks good with boots. Marks always produce the best leather and suede products. Hopefully the mark will stand the test I have given skirt a brush and a slight damp with cloth. Fingers crossed as I really want to to keep.

Loved this skirt when I spotted on line, however description failed to mention split and pockets and this was unclear the photo posted. Once the images of the model wearing the item went live it was clear. Quality is fabulous, butter smooth suede, lovely camel colour which is ageless. Definitely an investment piece. Came up large on me. I’m 5’5” usually a 10 in M&S clothes had to get the 8 in this as the 10 drowned me. Thanks again Marks.

Picked up my skirt today. Good packaging fully enclosed in a robust plastic cover. I'll keep it in this. The skirt has pockets and a split. Not seen on single photo when this was purchased. The split is to the left seam on the front and on me opens to knee height. I'm 5'4". No mention of this in the description. The pockets do sit flat so no issues there. I purchased a size 12 the waist fits perfectly, the hips are roomy but cut with the pockets in mind so there are no bulges. The zip is on the centre back. It's silver and is open/visible but that's standard these days A beautiful skirt the suede is super soft and the colour is perfect. Is it worth £199? Only you can decide but I will wear this for years to come. Call it an investment piece.
