Smudge Pot Eyeshadow 4g

Big mistake horrible little button hard like stone and expensive not to use

I had been hunting for a nude blush pink cream eyeshadow for months, when I read about this online I thought this fitted the bill. I love products in pots rather than tubes and the shade name of Kitten sealed the deal for me. Whilst the colour is lovely, the texture is appalling and I don't know how this could be described as eyeshadow. It is very thick and almost impossible to apply on skin as delicate as an eyelid, it leaves a very claggy texture and looks like poor quality product badly applied - nothing sexy about that! I can't comment on it's effectiveness as an eyeliner as I don't use it and the nude blush pink shade would have limited use as eyeliner anyway.

Disappointed. I thought with the name smudge pot that I could use my finger and smudge it on. Wrong. It has a very firm texture and is difficult to put on. Maybe with an eyeliner brush it would be easier but that defeats the idea of a smudge pot! May try again with a brush but not the stila one. Far too expensive. Bought the grey one, lovely colour and great for someone who is an expert at putting on eyeliner. Not me.

Never used this type of product before, so I'm still getting used to it. Will ask my daughters for advice. It looked a very useful product in a good colour, so I'm hoping to be able to use it to my benefit. I don't make enough tears, so I can't use powder-based products on my face,so this smudge pot seemed like a good idea.

Even here on this review page this item is called 'eyeshadow ' which is what i thought I was buying. It is in fact a gel eyeliner. The person I bought it for does not use this . Fortunately , it is my colour so I kept it. It is actually a really nice liner. It has a rich, deep colour and applies very easily. I did also try it as eyeshadow using a tiny amount and lastly, filled in my brows with it too. So, all in all a great product just a nuisance to now have to find the present I originally wanted to buy.

If you want a soft, smoky look, this is an excellent product. It goes on easily and lasts well. Looks very becoming - have received loads of compliments!
