Very good chino trousers, excellent quality for the price, and includes Stormwear protection. Can't be beat!

Real let down of an old favourite

I have been buying M&S Chinos for numerous years as I always found them to be a very good fit. However when going to buy several new pairs I discovered it stated 'New improved fit'. I am sorry but the new close fitting of these chinos are awful. I prefer the old fit where the material did not fit as tight to the leg as they do now. Unfortunately after buying nearly all of my clothing from M&S I will now be looking elsewhere for my chinos. Your designers should have kept design for adult males. They seem to be aiming these at the 16-25 yr age bracket who seem to like the tight fit to the leg. M&S you have forgotten what the age bracket was for your main purchasers!

These are a good fit and quality but sadly the navy fades very quickly and patchily so they don’t look smart for long.

THE EVERYWEAR CHINObought these as we have had them before good value needed to take them up only because they did not have a 27 short length but was easy to do the hem.

Bought these for my husband as golf trousers, thought they would feel water resistant, as stormwear, however they have a slightly moleskin texture, which I find attracts dust, so returned item.

Bought this trouser on 13th May ... and its worn now under Zip .. just in one .. though I work in office ,,dont do any work that cause this trouser to be worn in one month ,, simply bad stiching .. though buy my clothing from M&s evertime but this time disappointed. Guess how would you feel sitting in office and suddenly you spot your is worn just under ZIP of almost inch .. then you will think i will only get up from my chair when I ll be finishing shift. .

Bought these for my husband. Nice trousers, good overall fit BUT the waist size is too small for the size stated. Although called active fit, there is hardly any flexibility around the waist. When measured against a previous pair of the same size, the waist was definitely smaller. Such a shame!

I bought the chinos for my husband but unfortunately,I will be returning these trousers because the fit was not good. The waist and leg length was perfect but they have a baggy fit on the hips and legs. It is very disappointing that M and S have discontinued their straight leg trousers which were a great fit between slim fit and regular fit.

Although these are described as regular they are very close fitting and too tight on the seat. It is great pity that the single pleated chinos have been discontinued, as they gave a more comfy fit. I wont buy any more.

The trousers have a quality feel and nice fit. More a trouser for cooler weather as they are not lightweight.

I continue to buy at least one pair of these every year and wear them to death. I have great trouble finding any trousers that fit properly, but despite my shape changing over the years, (waist & leg measurements), I always find a pair of these chinos that are comfortable and smart. Thank you M.& S.

My husband wanted a pair if everyday trousers saw these and bought them. They fit well and are a true fit his inside leg is 29 inches and he can have difficulty finding trousers to fit. He was so pleased with them that he’s purchased a second pair.

The sizing of these trousers is reliable and consistent. The basic colours are good though it would be good to see a few more imaginative colours.

I purchased three pairs of these Chinos late last year. The quality, fit and style was good with the expanding waist and the Stormwear is good for keep the trousers clean and dry. The only big let down on these Chinos is the pockets. Within three months all three pairs developed holes in both the front pockets even though I alternated wearing the trousers and only wear them for casual use not every day use. The material the pockets are made from is far too thin and unsuitable and soon develops holes. The cost of replacing the pockets is almost as much as the cost of the Chinos and would not be viable.

I buy a 36" waist in many pairs of M&S jeans but these were way too smal. Unfortunately I didn't try them on until after I had removed all the labels - assuming they would fit just as well - so I had to buy these as a replacement.

I've had many pairs of these trousers before and practical for work. Although I did think I was ordering something slightly different on line as they have the same product number as a pair of Teal trousers I have from M&S which have got a self stripe in. Also the colours says Navy Mix, well not sure what they mean by mix, as they are just plain navy!

My husband already has a pair of these, in a different colour and he is very pleased with them. They have washed well and are easy to iron.
