Sizing is a DISASTER!

I have been banging on about this for a few years emailing M&S about this madness on sizing! Most people like those who have also commented on trousers ALL say the same thing!! TOO SMALL! ALL nice stuff is in the ULTRA skinny and thin sizing! This garment is the same! Amazing! Its an audition for 18 to 25yrolds and nobody that age buys from M&S trendy trousers they go elsewhere ,the shop s are KNOWN! M&S should stick to their target audience! Terrible sizing all over frankly!

Wool blend Twin Pleat Trousers

I have been using the wool blend pleated trousers for a number of years and, hence, was extremely surprised when my usual size was uncomfortably tight. Closer inspection revealed that the trouser no longer has the elasticated Active Waist. Can we have the Active Waist back please on next Season's design as it makes a huge difference to how they fit.

Still the best fitting trousers for men. Very slightly tight on the waist but I'll expect they will ease after a few wearings.

Why have you stopped the “active waist” in your wool blend trousers? These were a regular purchase for work.

Pleated Trousers

Some of the only pairs of trousers I feel comfortable in. Most others are tight around the thighs but these leave a bit of breathing space! Shame they aren't available in store and in other colours.

Comfortable Work Trousers

After long search pleased to find a decent pair of pleated front trousers for work.Warm and comfortable to wear all day. Would prefer more than 30% wool but washable instead of dry clean.Incidentally what happened to 'superwash wool'? There is a total imbalance in the range of 'flat front' and 'pleated' trousers. These are the best option I've yet found but M&S are not addressing the demand because many men do not want flat front trousers.Classical quality wins over uncomfortable fashion.

The Office Standard

This is M&S at it's best: producing always required office clothing staples. For a generic pair of black trousers for sitting at a desk all day and occasional visits outside there is no equal. I'm 45 and I've been wearing twin pleated office trousers since I was at school. Flat front trousers are uncomfortable for long term sitting. The polywool mix holds a crease when hung to dry with minimal ironing needed. Warm in the winter, cool in the summer. Possibly a tad warm for very hot weather. The pockets are substantial. The lighter, fully polyester version is half the price but is a tenth of the product: the stitching always fails.
