Great sports shorts either for yoga at home or layered under looser style football shorts for jogging.

I was fortunate to purchase these half price in the sale. I bought a size 12 and they were quite a snug fit. The fabric is lightweight and easy care. I would have liked the legs to have been three inches shorter, but on the whole a fairly good buy.

I bought these to wear as shorts for around the pool on holiday to cover my flabby thighs. Look good with a colourful tankini top.

I read the reviews before I purchased these and they were all positive, mine is no different. Very comfortable, good fit, easy to wash and quick drying.

My third pair, love them

Love these. I'm a reluctant gym bunny with awful legs but I don't care. These shorts wear well, they're cheap, look good and wash and dry like a dream. I am a 16 M&S jean fit but take a 14 in these and they are the perfect size. They're great as sunbathing shorts too if I just want a tankini top and shorts. Love them, in black and navy.I'll be buying more.

Great running/gym shorts

I have been trying to get a pair of long (just above knee) running shorts for several months and have had several unsuccessful attempts to order other products on-line. These shorts are perfect - excellent value for money, nice quality material (just enough lycra) and a great fit. They are also the perfect length. There is a zipper pocket in the back for keys or money and a tie at the waist (which I don't need as they are a perfect fit). I have just worn them in the 10 mile Great South Run and they were extremely comfortable. I am about to order another 2 pairs! There is the added advantage that you can pick them up from the store and return them there if they are not suitable - no wrapping up and posting back and no delivery or return charges.

More tight than normal length quick dry joggers

I own a few pairs of these. Compared to the original full length quick dry joggers, the shorts are a bit more tight-fitting. If you are a proud owner of wide hips and large flabby thighs like me, I'd opt for a size up for sure (or even two sizes if you do not want them too close to your skin!). Bonus points for the adjustable waist which will give you great fit even if you size up. Material is thin (but not see-through), comfortable to wear, quite durable and true quick-dry.

These are not as good as the black out shorts. The fit is not as good & the fabric not as supportive, but then again they cost a third less! i got them because I wanted a pair of navy shorts. They’re fine for yoga but I wish that the black out shorts came in different colours.

I bought these shorts in black & navy for a cycling holiday and they were perfect. Exactly the right size - they came just over my knee. They were very comfortable with just the right amount of stretch for cycling. They did dry very quickly when washed

Best M&S product in 2019

These were purchased on recommendation of my daughter- they EXCEL at preventing rubbed thighs when wearing dresses in summer. The fabric is silky and under a lined dress don’t show at all. Two days of walking all around London in a dress would normally be agony -wearing these it was a pleasure. The fabric wicks away moisture and on the hottest day ever recorded they worked amazingly. I have 4 pairs (so do my two daughters) £168 extra spend to M&S - more products like these and the company would do very well. I recommend them to anyone and everyone. Many women of different sizes have problems with chafed thighs - these finally solve the problem. Oh and they’re perfectly suitable for exercise- I wore them kayaking over a swimsuit! Where they do excel is

Been looking for a pair of running shorts for the summer to keep me cool. All my other pairs would always ride up during running. These however are brilliant, just did a 10km run and didn't have to adjust them once. Brilliant value for money!

Lovely fit, but surprised by quality for M&S

These were a lovely fit and extremely comfortable to run in - I wore them once, washed them, then on the 2nd wear the zip broke! Not good, so these will be returned Im afraid. I need a zip to keep my house key safe in when Im running. Apart from that they're lovely!

Great shorts, 2nd pair that I have brought, also have them in black, like the longer length and the decent size back pocket. Wash well.

Very flattering with the high waist and stays put whilst running. Only criticism is that the navy shows sweat.
