This lamp broke at one of the joints when assembling it. I should have sent it back but we tried to fix it without success. So disappointed in the poor quality of the metal and even more disappointed that we won’t get our money back. Expected far better quality than this for the price of the lamp.

Lightshade issues
Originally posted on marksandspencer.com (UK)
I bought lamp for it’s style but also it’s flexibility to go in a music/reading room so that I could alter the angle where needed. The room already contains antique brass and the brass of the lamp was shiner than the other items I have. This aside, it was a good weight and felt and looked like a quality product. My problem was that I could not get the lightshade to sit straight and when moving the flexible arm to shed light on a particular spot it required a lot of effort to get the shade in a decent position. I’m not sure if this was a fault of the lamp, our flooring (it’s an old house with carpet) or just my inability to adjust but unfortunately I had to return it.

Lamp was ok as far as flexibility concerned but the switch needed to be further from the lamp to use by foot and the shade was ridiculously large and will be heading for charity shop. I only kept the base because I needed one. Would be better to sell it without the shade.
