Very pleased with the purchase although a little disappointed that upon receipt the shelf that is shown in the picture as being solid is actually an open shelf using slats, also the wine shelf is painted. M&S should have made us aware of these changes. Other than that happy with the purchase.

I had a space in my new kitchen and was unsure how to fill it. The padstow butchers block not only fill the space but it looks quality. It has wheels on the back and roller feet on the front so can be moved into the kitchen if I require extra surface area. It may appear to be on the expensive side but it is a solid piece of furniture that will endure years of use.

Have had this butchers block for a couple of years. I'm about to repaint for the 2nd time to fit in to my new kitchen. The kitchen suppliers are supplying a new drawer front and door handle to help it blend further. Very solid piece. Looks quality and very versatile. The drawer is large and handy. The shelf is perfect for storing large items such as slow cooker or pans and enabling easy and fast access. Would definitely recommend. I rated excellent for value even though initially I thought it was a tad expensive. You get what you pay for! I'm planning to attach a towel rail to one end although appreciated not everyone would want this.

A solid, well designed and constructed and piece of furniture. Well finished and a delight to use. Replaced our Swedish version and in a different league altogether. Well done, M&S.
