Great for tall people

I love the concept behind this dress. I bought a 10 and it fit well as a 10 BUT only if you are tall! I'm 5ft6.5 and it was way too long for me, the backs of my heels were getting caught under it. Luckily a tall friend took it off of my hands and she is very happy. On another note beware it is also a substantial weight, would be great for a cruise from the UK but not so great for a flight!

Took it STRAIGHT back - awful.

It read so well. I thought that it was a great idea to have one dress that could be refashioned in loads of different ways. But...oh dear. It was a heavy, man made, cheap fabric, and the bodice didn't fit (me) properly. A lovely idea, but not, in my opinion, well executed. No wonder it's 'online only'.

I ordered several of these dresses for my bridesmaids. I loved them so much I bought an extra for me! The fabric feels quality and is very thick. Highly recommended!

Size was perfect. Styling fabulous, colour a bit darker red than looks online but perfect for the Christmas ball I bought it for. I’m 5 ft 2 so a bit long but worth getting it taken up as such a great value dress worth much more than it cost! Love it....

I bought this dress in black and it is fantastic! The material was a lovely heavy feel, that is comfortable and looks good. I was also impressed by how easy it was to use the long stars for different styles. The dress is flattering and excellent value for money.

The 10 fits a size 8 well

I bought this dress for my stepdaughter to wear as a junior bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding. The red is more of a deep crimson than a bright ruby tone, which is fine with us, but it might be worth keeping in mind if you're after a specific shade. I was a bit worried after I bought it, because some of the reviews suggest the dress runs a bit large, and I had ordered a 10 because her size (a women's 8) had sold out. But the 10 fits her well, and the tie straps ensure the dress will stay up. The hem is long on her without shoes, but if she wears high heels, it will be an appropriate length. The dress material is a nice weight - not too thin, and not too heavy. It would feel a bit much if you wore this during the summer in a venue with no air conditioning, but the design will suit any of the cooler seasons (or any venue that keeps the temps at around 17C year-round...). I like that this design has the bra covering built in. It will be less awkward than some other infinity dress styles can be -- no extra tube tops required, just tie and go.

I ordered this dress in a (hopeful) size 14 - I’d say I’m a generous 14 - sometimes a 16 - but 16’s were unavailable so I gambled - read the reviews and was DREADING it arriving- I’m 5’2 - I was SURE it would be too small & too long - it arrived today and I’m DELIGHTED-and very surprised to say that it a PERFECT fit - I LOVE it!! Such a versatile dress that I know I’ll wear and wear - good value for money - I can’t wait to wear it - my husband loves it too - and we had fun trying all the different styles - I can’t tell you how happy (and relieved) I am! Hx

I love this dress. Great price, great quality, stylish, classy and I got lots of compliments when I wore it to an awards ceremony last week. However, the down side for me is that it is too long. I am 5'2' and need to take three inches off the bottom, even when wearing 3.5 inch heels. I have taken the lining up on the sewing machine, which worked well, but I have yet to tackle the main dress, which I will need to do by hand and also with some assistance, which isn't ideal. But other than the length, I'm very pleased with the dress and the different ways you can style it.

Perfect for lots of events

I’ve principally bought this for singing in concerts. It’s particularly good because the temperature in halls and churches can be highly variable! The inbuilt broad straps can be made into a proper “cape” for when it’s chilly or shoulders have to be covered in churches. The top is stretchy but secure. It’s really flattering and the material feels top quality - not a cheap nasty jersey. Indeed, as previous reviewers have said, it’s pretty heavy; it will not crease, which is very important to me. I’m quite tall (5’9”) and it’s just the right length Great dress and highly recommended.

Needed a long black dress. This is great because you can wear it so many different ways. It’s very heavy, good quality material and quite long too. Looking forward to wearing it.

Not for me

Like some of the other reviewers, I found this dress to be far too heavy, so much so that it dragged the bodice down. When I tried it on it looked bulky and untidy. I have returned it.

A dress full of surprises

The various ways to fasten the ties wasn't a surprise but the quality and weight of the material was unexpected. The added surprise was the integral pockets in the bodice that accommodated my prosthesis. This made it easy and comfortable to wear and it hung beautifully.

This dress has solved the problem of not wanting to spend too much on a formal dress as I do not need one very often! The strap changes will help it look different at various events. Very forgiving style. It is heavy which means it hangs really well but it would not be good if there is a weight restriction. I bought the red and it is a gorgeous shade. Delighted!

Much too long - I'm 5'4" but this was too long even with heels. Too heavy - I wanted a maxi dress for holiday but it's much too heavy fabric. Lovely colour though.

I was unsure when ordering as no short length available. I was right - over 4 inches too long. My cousin has had the dress and it is still longish on her and she is 5ft 10! I was unable to buy any new maxi dresses last year and looks like I can't again. Unless I pay £20 to have it shortened.

Very heavy dress

Great concept for a dress but does not need the lining as fabric sufficiently robust and not see through, making it too heavy and is also very long! I would find it too hot to wear and heavy so returned.
