These cups are lovely to use, great quality and great value. I bought two of them and am highly delighted. Now they are no longer available which is a great pity as I wanted to buy more, My preference is for straight sided plain white cups, nothing else like it available now!

Was looking for some white china cups which were not too big and these are just the perfect size. Quite nice quality for the price!

New Maxim cups and saucers

What a pleasure. I have been looking for cups and saucers such as these. They can be used to serve tea or coffee and wash well in the dishwasher. They also seem durable, but haven't had them long enough to test. Will very likely buy the tea plates. A good purchase.

We bought a set of these to replace old- fashion looking china tea set. They look good and should be tough enough for everyday use and dishwasher. Saucers a bit bigger than we are used to but they look right and are functional.

Agree with others with regard to thickness of cups. I started to collect and tried to replace broken cups. They are NOT the same as originals. I only started to collect as liked ‘thinness’ of cup

I have had the Maxim tableware since it was first introduced. During the years pieces have got broken and I have been able to replace that item and still have a complete set of matching tableware. Firstly you changed the style of the pasta dish so the new ones don’t match my original set. Now the cups and saucers have changed size and the porcelain is much thicker. Why call them Maxim which in my mind indicates a design, when they are not. Very disappointed as I canno linger maintain this set.

I have collected the maxim dinner service for a few years. Some cups have been broken. I ordered these on line expecting the same! Totally different . Thick pottery , very heavy and not at all elegant. Why can’t you match the original maxim cups andsaucers, will not be buying again,

These cups are so stylish, comfortable to hold and feel very sturdy. I don't agree with some of the previous reviews, I think these feel better quality than other Maxim cups. Would definitely recommend!

I bought these for Sunday tea. Love the size of the cups. Most of the time I use mugs. So these make teatime a little more special.

Good basic for the price!

Bought these two to add to others I already have in the set, I bought years ago from marks. These are definitely more solidly made and a better sized cup for a really good coffee or tea, rather than buying separate sets or sizes. Easier to hold the handle and the saucer is a better shape,too- much improved. White is a classic that goes with everything and is ideal for everyday casual use, as well as more formal occasions, too. Good value with the twenty per cent off, too. Good sturdy range. Could add touches of colour with napkins, tablecloth or centrepiece for Christmas.

Not the same as the original cup & saucer

I ordered this as I have the original style Maxim cup & saucer. But I was quite disappointed as it’s much heavier and not as stylish. Why have the same name for a different style? It’s quite good value for money but I would rather pay more to have the better quality.

Not the same as old Maxim range

Bought this set to replace broken Maxim cups but they are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to the old range. They do not match at all - different design and size! Will be returning them to the store after ordering online. Why did you Marks not give them another brand name?? Very misleading. Bring back the old design please.

I love the design of this crockery and was so pleased that it was still available at M&S. It's not a fussy design, just very classy!

Like previous reviewers, I bought this to match a broken one, as it was the same name I assumed it would be the same, much too big and not so delicate. Doesn't match and will have to be returned. I should have read the reviews.

Really pleased with the set, cup sits nicely on the saucer, the handle is comfortable to hold nice and large for arthritic fingers

Average. Not elegant. Too clunky. This is a problem with buying without feeling and seeing in the round. Not a bad buy but a M&S standard it is not. From a dedicated M&S fan
