Linen midi skirt

This skirt was photographed showing the side of the skirt , not representative of how it really looked . The material , quality and value of the garment were all good . The way the waist was shaped and the top half lined , was all good . The skirt was not at all flattering on . It was too full and like wearing a sail , instead of a skirt . The amount of material used made it heavy and it drooped . I had to return it . A lovely idea for a skirt but it didn’t work for me .

I loved this skirt!! The style and length were perfect and very on trend (midi). I could have worn this skirt sooo much but the lining only covered the top part of the skirt! Bit strange - as you could see where the lining finished when you had the skirt on. Not sure why the designers skimp on lining when it completely spoils the look. Shame but had to return

Tried to be impartial after I read other reviews but I had to agree with several ladies who said the pockets on this skirt would not lie flat and spoiled the whole look. They were correct. The other thing wrong with this skirt was the lining. If you are going to line a garment then line it fully. Half lined meant you could see it through the skirt and that was not nice. Pity because the style was full of promise. Returned.

smart skirt

This is a lovely, stylish skirt which unfortunately did not look very well on me. The material is rather flimsy and with the side pockets level with the below waistline band of the skirt it looked tight and wrinkled around that area - not a flattering look! Perhaps I could lose weight but if the material were stronger and the pockets positioned somewhere else or there were none at all, I would have kept it. Disappointed because it is a lovely style.

Lovely summer skirt

Initially I was put off by some of the reviews but really like this skirt. While the line might have been a bit sleeker without the pockets, they barely stand up and a longer top would cover that anyway. The colour is lovely and the fabric good quality. The length and cut are very flattering. It is just what I have searched a couple of summers for.

Loved the design and colour and it fitted perfectly but it was let down by the quality of the fabric which was really poor. Bought it on line but had to return it

This is a lovely dress which fit very well. The only thing that I did not notice until after purchase was that it's dry cleaning. I am going to still keep the dress because I like it very much Overall rating I would give it a 10

Very dissapointing, mislead by the discription

Extremely annoyed at the discription. It's advertised as linen, it's actually more like cheap cheese cloth. The pleats are a lovely idea, my sort of skirt, but there is insufficient. Material so they end up gapping open so the skirt does not fall correctly. A very expensive garment which would be better sold in a jumble sale.

I’d read the reviews but thought I’d try for myself as I’d been looking for ages for a new skirt and this fitted the bill - it was mostly cotton and had a zip fastener. Too many skirts recently were pull on/elastic. The material is lovely and it fits comfortably on the waist. The pockets are not well designed and they don’t lay flat. But looking at it I think I can continue the seam through and remove the pockets, this will make the sides of the skirt fit much better and lay smoothly. It’s worth doing as the material is lovely especially being of cotton and linen. The lining is very short but I think it would be too warm with a lining for summer. I don’t understand why it’s dry clean as cotton /linen/ polyester are all washable. So I intend to wash gently. Overall I’m pleased with this skirt

A win, win from Marks and Spencer! Truly going back to the brilliant fashion that M&S is known for. Feels great wearing it.

Disappointed with this skirt

I was very disappointed with this skirt as the lining is only to hip level, also the pockets on the side are not flattering if you have 'hips', I therefore returned this skirt. I loved the material and the colour and the fact it has a rear zip and the buttons are 'mock'. M&S please don't skimp on finish!

After reading reviews I was wary of buying this, but I love it. I thought it was button through but it fastens at the back, no problem for me as I just twist it to the front to fasten. the fabric is quite thin and although half lined I will probably wear an under slip. I love the colour, been searching for a cream skirt for ages! The pockets do gape as others have said but I don’t think they look bad. The length is true midi which is perfect and the size is true.

Quite excited when I first saw this skirt.as it was just what I wanted. Casual, cream and a good length.BUT it was let down by the pockets which gave it a very untidy outline, I had to send it back but please could we have something similar without the pockets !!!!.

This was a lovely skirt, very good material, nice colour, true to size. Unfortunately the style did not suit me and had to be returned.

I like the shade of cream, the style, length, but the matieral was not very good. It was very badly creased and I also thought the size of button too large for a person of my age. Can we please have more tradition skirts in a classic range to suit the older person. T here are already far too many shops catering for the younger person.

I expected this skirt to be in a heavier material, I felt it was nearer to a heavy calico. Did not feel it hung well or was of good enough quality.

Sadly not up to usual Autograph quality. The material was thin and limp and although the skirt fitted well the pockets gaped.

Due to the linen content this skirt creases and looses it's look instantly and does not look crisp as shown in the picture. The material is limp and has no substance. I returned for this very reason.
