Leather Layered Sole Brogues

Received as Christmas present. Very stylish well made leather brogue welted shoe. Very comfortable fit. Width just right, unfortunately length of shoe was in excess of 3" longer than big toe which looked as if I was wearing a size 9 instead of size 6. God knows what a size 11or 12 would look like. Very disappointed. Returned for refund.

Bought two weeks ago online, arrived last week. Good looking shoes, feel comfortable, good quality, reasonable price.

Always bought size 9 1/2 for my husband but shoes are very narrow

These shoes were exactly what I had in mind when I went out shopping. A size 7.5 would have been ideal, but M&S half sizes start from 8 upward. Like all new shoes, I wore them around the house for a few hours before going outside. After two trips out, my heels were red and sore. On checking the inside of the shoes, I noticed that the heel stiffeners were made of what appeared to be compressed cardboard or similar material, which had broken down, causing the discomfort. No other pair of shoes in my collection have such a poor finish.

I bought these shoes for my son. He is normally a size 9 but they were way too big. However, the leather and colour are very nice. The returns policy is also clunky in that you cannot return in order to get a different size. So my son had to return the size 9s and then I had to re-order a size 8. Unnecessarily complicated.

I purchased these last week, and M and S requested I review them. The style is as expected and shown in the photos. What the photos don’t show is the leather has a very strange finish and looks plasticky. I seriously considered returning them, but hoped regular polishing would make them look more natural. What was then very disappointing was seeing the same shoes in the M and S outlet. These showed my finish to be the exception rather than the rule, but more importantly they were significantly cheaper. Overall, but in person to get the finish you want, and save money at the outlet.
