For the price, these t-bar shoes are really good for school. They’re not to stiff, they’re made of leather and there is an anti-scuff plastic bit at the toes. The price is very reasonable. It’s our second pair of M&S school shoes and we are happy with them.

I liked these shoes in principle because the reinforced toe area was a bonus- hardly any girls' shoes feature this important element however the shoe was quite long and low fitting so that if you had a high instep they might cause discomfort. Despite being a good quality, comfortable shoe which my daughter really liked I did not like how flat they looked her on her feet. Also because one of her feet was smaller than the other she also experienced a gaping by the open parts of the shoe when I tightened the velcro. I returned the shoes.

Purchased these shoes, for my Grandaughter, she loved them, I was very impressed with the extra protection to the front of the shoe, so they won't get scratched to easily, never seen this on any other shoes,.

Bought these shoes last year for my Daughter and they wore so so well, still looked almost as new after a whole year! Decided to purchase again for the new school year. Unfortunately a week before the end of term they literally fell apart. The sole actually came away from the shoe at the front on both shoes. They had only been worn for 3 and a half weeks. Have returned for a refund and am either going to reorder the same ones or the normal leather and not patent. Im thinking maybe just a faulty batch? Hasn't put me off buying this style again.

After ruining a pair of leather school shoes at the toe within 3 weeks I had a search for shoes with a rubber toe cap that still looked 'nice' for my 6 year old. She loves them! The padded ankle is a great bonus and they're really comfy she assures me! The best thing is the toe is still in good condition after a weeks wear- hopefully they'll last till she outgrows them.

I’m very disappointed as I usually love M&S products and clothing, after a lot of recommendations I purchased these shoes for my daughter for the new school year. I understand they’re not the most expensive school shoes on the market but they where certainly not cheap, so for the strap to completely break off after 3 weeks is baffling. M&S is all about quality however I unfortunately found these shoes to be of poor quality. I am now 3 weeks in to the school year having to pay out again for new shoes

Love that these have a rubber protector on the end. My child wears through any other shoe, these ones last the distance! Her last ones lasted a whole term, usually I have to buy her two pairs in that time! Well worth the money spent.

Prior to these shoes, my daughter generally got through a pair of shoes a term. She would always scuff the fronts up on the first day. These shoes have a rubber bumper around the front and still look really nice. They are a good fit and really comfortable. If it wasn't for her feet growing, they would still be good to wear next year too. Very good value for money.
