Very poor quality and sizing

Stretch laces are too tight and won’t budge. Have bought same size shoe before and these are too small width and length. Really appalling quality from M&S!

Can’t fit

The elastic lace can’t stretch enough to wear the shoe. Struggled to try it on, about to return it.

Lovely to look at but not very practical

I loved these as soon as I saw them, and so did my 4 year old. I have to echo other reviews though, and after they are tough to get on. I bought these at the start of lockdown and expected (as other have said) that the elastic would loosen off with use. More than 3 months later that hasn’t been our experience, and we are Still finding it hard to get the shoes on. I think they are comfortable once on, but he certainly couldn’t put them in himself without help. They are also quite heavy compared to others he has had in the past. We’ve also found that the nubuck material has worn quite quickly at the toes and at the heel, so they look quite worn already.

Nice design but nightmare to get on.

My toddler was so excited when his new shoes arrived but it took us nearly half an hour just to get the first shoe on, I believe this is because of the elasticated lace that you can’t really loosen, once they were on they fit him fine and we’re true to size, when we took them off his feet were sweating and he had marks on his feet where the tongue of the shoe was crushed against him, I haven’t put them back on him since even though he wants to constantly wear them it really isn’t worth the hassle and pain just putting them on him. Love the actual design and colours, would of been perfect if they were just able to be loosened a little bit.

Ordered a size 7 for my 2yr old grandson who has just outgrown his size 6 trainers. I imagined this size 7 might have a little bit of growing room but have been told he can just about get his foot in them due to the tightness of the elasticated front. Pity because he was very excited when he saw them! He has worn them a few times and loves them but it's just a pain getting them on, which he needs help with, rather than being able to put them on himself (which he can do with other shoes/trainers). Would likely recommend to a friend but to get a size bigger perhaps.

Lovely sturdy colourful trainers for a great price. They are a little tight to get on but my son has wide feet (so he needs a little help getting them on). I’m sure they will get easier with time. Everything else great!

I loved the look and colour of these trainers for my almost 4 year old and when they arrived they did not disappoint visually. However the elastic lace part of the shoe is incredibly tight so much so I couldn’t even get a third of my sons feet into them. At that age you need a shoe that is quick and hassle free. These will definitely go back and I won’t be ordering a size up as I believe they would have fitted fine if it wasn’t for the elastic lace section.
