No, I don't recommend this
The chair looks absolutely beautiful! The spinning mechanism is really smooth. We have it placed on medium pile carpet & it slides fine. It appears to have arm rests but obviously they are just part of the molding of the chair back. The seat pushes you outwards as it tilts forwards rather than sitting level to allow you to remain in a comfy seating position. In this way there is no lumbar support. If I raise my feet and push back using the tilt mechanism, the chair no longer tilts me outwards & it feels more comfortable. I do regret not travelling the breadth of the country to find a store where I could try sitting in the chair first. I would have known that way that you can't really sit in it because it throws you out! Alas there were no reviews available to gather any information from. I took a flyer on it presuming M&S only sell quality products.
