These dresses are unlined and not very well cut - really big in the armholes. For only £2 more I bought superior quality lined pinafore dresses from the official school uniform shop and returned these ones to M&S. The navy ones I bought weren’t as dark as I would have liked; however the grey ones I saw in store looked better somehow, less cheap looking!

Totally love this simple but stylish school pinafore. Finally something without pleats but is easier to get into due the longer zip and drop waist!! Material has added stretch and so should be more comfortable and eliminate the need to have to iron it. Have been buying the classic zip up pinafore for years but my daughter finds them difficult to get in and out of as the zip stops at the waist. We will definitely be switching to these is M&S continue to make this style. True to size. Ordered 7-8 years and it measures 70 cm long and 35 cm across at the chest.
