Down and Feather Parka

The jacket is warm and fits well. The problem is the poor quality. After 4 months of wear I have had the following problems: - 2 of the buttons came off - An odour has comes from the inside of the jacket - A tear has appeared in the shoulder area exposing the interiors - The protection it offers from rain could be better I tried getting in touch with Marks about this but heard nothing back. I always shop here for suits, shirts, underwear and socks (which always are great) but this jacket was extremely disappointing. I only wear the jacket commuting to work. I would not recommend this.

Great length coat for taller man (6’2”). Looks so much nicer than the shorter coats that seem to poke out at the back. My husband says he feels really warm in it. It’s the usual high quality from M&S. M&S please let us review whole order together rather than going in and out for every item. There must be a way :)

We got this for my son as he complained of the cold on top of the South Downs.( We do a lot of family walking.) It was a perfect fit, light weight, and the fit of the hood can be altered with a toggle on the back of the hood. The zips look sturdy and the length is good for keeping the backside warm. If one is dithering between this and a shorter jacket, this is so much warmer on hikes. It also looks pretty smart on occasions requiring smart dressing.

Haven't yet worn it in very, very cold weather but it has been very comfortable to wear. The length is just right and I expect it to be much warmer than my other coats because of its length. The materials are excellent and having worn it to rugby matches I have been very snug. The large inside pockets were a welcome surprise and match programmes fit in them easily. I am really pleased with my purchase.

Bought for my husband for a December trip to Prague - he said it was very warm but light enough for travel. He said the only downside was with the pockets. The two outside fleece lined pockets are OK but could do with zips. The two inside pockets with Velcro were deep but awkward to access and the two inside chest pockets were both hard to open one-handed.
