Maybe because it’s from M&S but I expected so much more from this lamp, but it’s very basic, quite flimsy and it just looks cheap and poor quality. Not what I expected at all.

The lamp is a little wobbly but the main issue was (probably my fault because I didn’t give it a thought when I purchased ) the done shade doesn’t allow enough light as such, it says to use an led bulb no more than 6 watt .. the small amount of light only comes out of the bottom .. it is also really hard to put the bulb in as you have to do it with the done shade in place and you can only use a small goofball bulb as it’s the only one you can get in. .. so sorry to have to post this as I’ve never had to fault anything before.. I kept it but I replaced the shade for another.

Great colour. Brilliant value for money. Light is gentle/ soft, not suitable as a reading light. But perfect for low lighting and atmosphere

Had to order it twice as first one didn't line up and had a scratch however this could have been from someone else opening so maybe not m&s fault as you would have to put the light together to see it was slightly off

Looks really good in the corner of my living room. Nice and easy to assemble and very well packaged (lots of very neatly cut layers of card with no plastic, great to see!) The inside of the dome is not particularly reflective so you need a relatively bright bulb inside for it to spread much light about - this is an accent light piece, not a light-filling-room lamp.

Lovely green floor lamp we bought as we really liked the bedside table lamp equivalents. The reason we haven't given it a five-star review is because the recommended bulb for it is barely a light at all! We are using the max 9w of the recommended type as M&S say more than 9w could cause overheating. Never known such a dull light from a bulb; barely any difference between on and off.
