M&S you are appalling. You used to be good, now you are less than average. You have dozens of reviews of mens shirts and shorts, and many of them complain that you have changed the sizing and your clothes are now too small. And you ignore us. I've had your 38 or 40 sized shorts for many years, perfect fit. I needed shorts and the reviews suggested that I needed to buy a size up. So I did. And you've had to pay the return postage. Serves you right. I've now bought 2 sizes up and they just about ft. Just about. Forget aiming at the youth market, they are not shopping at M&S. It's men like me, 60 something with cash. Humour us. Go back to the size formula of 5 years ago. Do it. Now.

Bought husband;s normal size (still wearing last year's M&S shorts) but could barely pull them up! Not sure if size/style has changed? Next size up is even a bit too loose!

the shorts where fine exept you say they are stretch shorts ,however i would expect the stretch to be in the wast band but there is no give at alll the only stretch i can find is at the bottom of each leg and think that is miss leading as i think most people would expect the stretch to be in the wast band.

My husband didn't like these. They were tight for size, on the short size and didn't look good. However we also ordered the Super Lightweight Chino shorts which, apart from being a bit on the long side, were so much better fit and look. He will order another pair of those, and return these.

I've purchased stretch chino shorts from M&S before, 30" waist, and they fit nicely. That's also my size in virtually any other brand. But with these, it's difficult to even close the button They aren't bad shorts, but you will be disappointed if you don't buy a size larger.

Terrible fit, sizing totally wrong

These shorts are terrible. Their waist measurement is totally different than the rest of the planet. Whilst the label says 38, a quick run through with a tape measure suggest 32/33. Do not recommend.

I always buy 36 inch waist and these were at least 1 1/2 inches smaller than my previous m&s shorts, that is the waist was about 34 inches.

Don't fit at all, I'm buying all my trousers from M& S and I know my size. I don't think lockdown made me gain that much weight.

I bought 2 pairs of shorts for my husband. The other pair in the same size are perfect but these are too tight, particularly round the thighs.

Always decide with shorts marks and Spencer’s to be good quality. I choose my size 36 but felt more like 32/34 can’t believe I’m ordering size 38 maybe I’ve put on a few pounds during this pandemic

Ordered these for my very slim husband. Fit was rather snug and legs rather short. Returned.
