CELEBRATING 40 YEARS OF INNOVATION
Today is the 40th anniversary of M&S Ireland and we could not be prouder to be marking this momentous occasion
The year 1979 was a monumental one for M&S in Ireland. We opened our first Irish store on Mary Street in Dublin, we launched our machine-washable lambswool knitwear, our risqué (at the time) plunge bras were flying off the shelves and Irish legs were clad in our scene-stealing patterned hosiery. Fast-forward 40 years and the tights are back in our hearts and wardrobes, alongside even more game-changing innovations. Found in everything from jeans to jackets, our nifty showerproof Stormwear technology will keep you dry in a downpour, while our exclusive Insolia® comfort technology means shoes feel as good as they look. This year, we’ve launched skin-sensitive Dreamskin ranges for babies, so everyone gets a good night’s sleep, and our tech-packed schoolwear remains an Irish favourite. We’ll continue to bring you the best of the best, so here’s to another 40 years of innovations in Ireland.
