Blue Tailored Fit Wool Checked Jacket

I’m happy with this jacket and looking forward to wearing it after Covid season

Purchased this last week for my son, good quality, lovely suit jacket.

I have been looking for an inexpensive suit since I lost a fair bit of weight. Due to this weight loss I gave my old suits to charity, so I was without a suit. Once I saw this suit on M&S website in the sale i was delighted. The suit arrived promptly, well wrapped and it is great. The fit is perfect, it is super quality and I love it.

Bought the suit which looks great but the cut and sizing be careful when ordering. I need to return my purchase as too small.

Bought for work as this was in the sale. It feels really good quality for a great price in the sale.

Bought for my husband. Nice jacket. The subdued check is just that bit different and more interesting than a plain fabric. Good fit.

Wasn't really planning to buy another suit, as I'm well past retirement, but we've been invited to a friend's wedding on board ship, and thought it would be nice to dress up for the occasion. Saw this blue check suit and rather liked it, even though I've always disliked checks before. My Wife thought it "suited" me (Groan.....) and persuaded me to try it on, and that was that! It's a pleasant muted check, in what feels like a quality fabric, and is nicely styled. I like the tailored fit, so I'm really pleased with it. Sizing seems pretty accurate.

If, like me, you're on the larger side, you will often find that assumptions are made about your shape. If I buy a "standard" fit, if it's right on the chest. it's too big on the waist and I look like a galleon in full sail. So I appreciate having the option of different fits. I've found the "tailored" fit suits me (it's been decades since I've been anywhere near skinny, and they only call me "slim" in the Netherlands). Nicely done, M&S. It's a slightly unusual fabric, too, which adds to the interest. Too early to say how it lasts, but the feel is good.
