Belted High Waist Tailored Shorts

I purchased these shorts, one in white and one in black as I wanted some smart shorts and not linen ones as they crease too much. They are perfect, so much so that I purchased two more pairs in black. The material is heavy enough to hang nicely but not too heavy to be too hot to wear. They don't crease when driving etc. I'm a size 22 and the fit is very comfortable and looks lovely either dressed up or casual. Would love to have had these available in more colours. They can be washed and hung to dry when any creases fall out, so no need to iron...bonus! The length is just under the knee on me (I'm 5'3) so perfect if you're not comfortable showing too much leg.

I can never understand why different styles in M&S that you need different sizes. You would think that there was an actual size that M&S would manufacture on whatever clothing. These shorts are absolutely beautiful to wear and they look great. But they’re so small by inches. It’s not a good thing that you should have to buy in a bigger size in certain clothes from M&S. if anything, you should be quite generous in the sizing as you should know ladies are inspired by getting into a smaller size rather than bigger. Take note M&S be generous with the sizing. I would buy these in different colours but they are only available in blue.

Such a shame with these shorts, loved the material plus style BUT PLEASE M&S start thinking of the mutual ladies out here, last year you did have a couple of “ golf style shorts in linen, where great , but this year all shorts where short. I’m tall so they all come above the knee not good on the mature ladies.

I’d had a voucher from M & S £25 & saw these shorts so used it to purchase them I read the reviews that said they came up small & as I’m usually a size 16 and there were only 18s left I decided to try them. They are not big so I was really pleased. The material is very soft & they hang beautifully. They can be dressed up with a fitted top - very nice - classy I wasn’t too happy at how they were sent though as were in a small bag so seemed a bit screwed up however material did not crease too much but I did think they’d have been sent on a coat hanger Not worn them yet but won’t be long

I was pleased to see this pair of shorts on line, my only disappointment is that I would prefer more colour options. As I am conscious of my legs I prefer a longer length short and this one definitely fits the bill, they sit just on the knee. They are tailored and high waisted as described although I wasn't particularly keen on the belt, but that is easily remedied by using one of my own. The fabric is decent quality not too heavy which is perfect for warm weather, I haven't worn them yet, so I am hoping that they wash well and don't crease too much either. I did order a couple of pairs in different sizes as I never know what size will fit, unfortunately I had to opt for a size up as they were a little tight on the waist and hips and therefore less flattering.

I ordered my normal size of 22, and loved the length of these shorts, but were too tight around the waist. I always by this size from M&S and everything normally fits, such a shame.
