Lacking fabric in the pouch and legs so go out of place when squatting down, eg for gardening. OK if you keep standing up! Earlier model has a more substantial construction of the leg holes (with a separate piece of material) - these are just hemmed.

I have been buying M&S cotton 'cool & fresh' hipsters for a long while now, and have always been very happy with the quality; however, yesterday I purchased a new 5-pack and am very disappointed at the change of style for these underwear. The previous style I own has a single seam up the back of the fabric which makes them comfortable on the bum, whereas this new style has 2 seams hugging the cheeks which cause the underwear to rise up, meaning they're very tight around the back end & legs. They also seem a bit smaller in general - whereas the older medium hipsters had a bit more fabric on the leg, these are really tight & short and ride up quite a lot. Perhaps the size up would be better?

Had to exchange medium for large size due to 'shrinkflation' ! Held against older version bought a couple of years ago they were shorter and smaller, but large size only marginally bigger, so ok.

Really nice and comfortable to wear, good colours, good price.

Good functional underpants and although my husband likes the autograph ones, these are a good enough cheaper alternative
