Worst creased shirts ever

I have always bought M&S shirts for my son but these are the worst ever. I followed the care instructions on the label, wash at 30, tumble dry and hang immediately. The shirts are creased and even an iron won’t remove the creases. I’m very disappointed to say the least. I won’t be buying these shirts ever again. I’ve opened and washed them so now I can’t even return them. Waste of money and now I need to buy more shirts.

I try to buy 100% cotton for my son's sensitive skin but I am very disappointed with these. They stain incredibly easily and all four had small ink stains which would not wash out at all within a week, despite various attempts at stain removal. They are not as soft as other cotton shirts we have tried and crease very easily. Given how much more expensive they are than certain supermarket brands I've bought previously, I'm disappointed that they seem to be wearing worse.

They were washed before they were worn and went very grey. They also creased and haven't come out with a lot of ironing.

Good value for 100% cotton shirts

As a younger child my son wore the easy iron poly/cotton mix shirts. But as he hit adolescence I felt he needed 100% cotton! I have tried another brand but I prefer M&S as they wash and iron better. As a school shirt they are not treated well, stuffed in sports bag when he changes for games etc, but they seem to recover well. So good quality product?

Not as good or as soft as those that I bought last year. These also are a nightmare to iron, again totally different from last year's. My son has to wear 100% cotton for his skin, but these shirts are a pain as they crease so easily in the wash. Also I am glad that I sized up as they are not terribly big. Disappointing.

I normally buy the non-iron shirts and when the non-iron were out of stock I bought these thinking "how different can they be?". They are terrible. The material is awful and they look so crumpled.

I really like them for my son. They not a per previous reviews 'non-iron' as it's stated in description. However, they are pure cotton, so no nasty polyester and sweaty child. They need ironing, but after look great and they fab for the skin. Also quite durable fabric. I ordered second pack as my son really like them.

Non iron??? I think not!! Awful shirts!

I have been buying non-iron shirts from Marks for the last 6 years and never had any complaints. However, this year I bought these shirts (skin kind) and they are absolutely awful. I always take them straight out of the tumble drier and hang them up and they are completely crumpled. Even after ironing they are still crumpled And feel rather thick. Previous shirts I have bought are literally hung straight up after tumble drying and are non creased and soft to touch. I’m so disappointed with these as they are quite expensive compared to other shirts and brands, but the quality isn’t there. Come on Marks - please sort it out!! I’m now having to buy new shirts after only being washed twice.

I tried to buy the shirts I bought last year (100% cotton, short sleeved) but the only ones were these skin kind ones. They looked fine until washed. I hung them up straight from the machine and ironed them damp but the creases were impossible to iron out. After a day at school the shirt looked terrible. The cotton shirts from last year were softer. I wish i hadnt bought these ones as they don't look good and were not cheap. M&S I would like to know why 2 shirts that are both 100% cotton are so different? I did read the reviews before buying them but wanted 109% cotton and thought I would just need to put in a bit more elbow grease with the iron.

Absolutely terrible - washed these and hung up to dry immediately. They’re so wrinkled and impossible to iron, even with a good steam iron. Very disappointed as I have been buying these shirts for 4 years and never had any problems before.

1. My son views this as comfier and less itchier than his school polo shirt. I think it’s high praise indeed. The material really is “skin kind”. 2. I darent risk a long sleeve for the time being so please keep these in stock for the next 5-7 years please. Or give 1 year lead time so I can stock up 3. We tested tumbling on our aeg vented tumbler and I noticed shrinkage so I would suggest Caution

Very poor quality shirts. One wash and they look grey. Very hard to iron. Not the normal quality of M&S.

I’ve been buying M&S school shirts for 7 years and these are no where near their usual quality. The shirts usually wash well, iron well and last all year. One wash and these look old! Very wrinkly and hard to iron. They’ve obviously changed their supplier. Very disappointed.

Not impressed with this seasons shirts! The quality is awful not as white as usual and shocking to iron. I nearly went to get refunded. Spent £80 on them for the three children. Always buy from m & s for the quality, however will try somewhere else next time.

I always buy my sons school shirts from M and S but this time I couldn't get the non iron or easy iron shirts in his size.I bought these shirts instead and they just wont iron.I have a steam iron and the creases wont come out, when he has the shirt on it creases really bad. I've even tried to iron them while damp and the creases still wont come out. Would not recommend these shirts at all.

This is my first review for school shirts, but having read some of the reviews have to agree with the comments. They are dreadful to iron, takes ages to get creases out. I hung it up and son put it on and it looks awful. Not impressed M & S, will have to order some different ones. The quality isn't as good either.

Not white but Grey

This year's pure cotton short sleeved school shirt is not a patch on previous years. Colour is pale grey rather than white. Quality is awful too - the material creases badly. Son had to wear them as he needed new ones and I'd left it too last minute to get others. I did read the reviews beforehand which are poor and mention the grey colour, but as I've ordered these shirts other years, I thought they'd be fine. Unfortunately, they weren't. Fortunately he wears a jumper so most of the shirt is hidden. I have contacted customer services, especially about the awful grey colour rather than white. I cannot recommend these shirts. Bring back the bright white, and quality, of previous years, please.
