It's an OK shirt, not great

It's a bit of a struggle to find nice 100% cotton school shirts. I bought some last year from a competitor of M&S's, but my son's size has been out of stock there for ages and I couldn't wait any longer so I bought these (and the slim fit version of these). They are ok, not great. As other reviewers have said, they are slightly off white. They are also not very long, so the shirt is constantly coming untucked. The collar is good and the arms are a good length. They are very reasonably priced (much cheaper than the competitor's version) but this has clearly meant a lower quality of fabric. Personally I would happily pay more for better quality considering how much use we get out of school shirts over the course of a year.

Very poor quality shirts

These shirts are so thin they are actually see through, look nothing like white cotton and don’t feel great either. Very disappointing, expect higher standards from M&S.

Really pleased with these school shirts. Great fit and quality, glad I went for 100% cotton instead of the cotton mix.

M&S is one of the few places that do 100% cotton shirts and the quality has got worse each year. They crease horribly & there isn’t a shirt tail to tuck in the trousers, very lazy design. This year the cotton is extremely rough, even after an initial wash pre-wear. M&S please look at this, you provide better quality cotton on your men’s shirts, why are the kids shirts so bad?

It’s so difficult to find pure cotton shirts anywhere. I really didn’t want to buy these as they are getting thinner and thinner each year. I compared the shirt to last year and the quality is disappointing, Creases very easily. Please bring back the better quality ones.

Neck on this shirt small, rest fit but will have to try and move button over, good quality but why don’t m&S put shirt tails anymore... they have made all school trousers hipsters and have been gradually making the shirts more like blouses. Trouble is the shirt will come out of hipsters as soon as they sit down. These shirts seem only available online and rarely in-stock. Wash and wear great.
